We had driven up from Norfolk in the most appalling weather. The plan had been to stay at a campsite but this was impossible so we rearranged to stay at the Gladstone at short notice. Despite the gale and heavy rain outside, the hotel was warm and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, well prepared and the staff excellent. We quickly... More

Firstly, the staff, what a really freindly, helpfull bunch of people, they were great. We stayed in a nice room with a sea view for 3 nights over half term.Although we didnt like the music that much (Saturday night) we were warned that it would be noisy when we made the booking. As our room was directly over the music ,we could... More

Staff are lovely and the food was nice but the noise from the pub meant that we didn't get any quiet until midnight and there was a lot of banging in the night too which kept us awake. We were very disappointed that somewhere claiming to offer hotel services would not be more respectful of guests - the floor was... More

The Gladstone offers a perfect place to stay for a short break..All the rooms are of a very high standard and spotlessly clean. The manager ,Chris, was really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him or any of the staff. We ate in the pub restaurant and the waitress was so friendly and helpful too. The... The Gladstone is a good pub, just off the A55 and offers rooms. Exceptionally friendly staff and good service.Good selection of beers. Food a little on the pricey side ,but good quality. Lovely views over the bay.

Family stayed for one night in two rooms. Superb rooms. Spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. Very comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with lots of little extra touches. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food at dinner and breakfast excellent. Great views from rooms and in the restaurant. Could not fault anything and will certainly be returning.

Staff are friendly, food is of a great quality. I had a wonderful beef dinner and the puddings scummy too. I had sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream. Good outside seating area too. Very clean and again good that you can take dogs in with you.

Had a quick meal on Saturday afternoon and it was delicious and filling although we chose the light lunch option. The service was excellent, friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. We have been served by many different staff here and all are consistently pleasant. I really don't understand why there are some poor reviews of the food in this establishment.
