We stayed here when attending a family wedding. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Elizabeth and Darren who own Glen Isa which is a 17 century country house situated in its own grounds and just a mile away from the village of Rowen. Our room was large and comfortable with a large four poster bed. The room had all...

We first discovered this gem in 2004 and have returned regularly since then, our recent stay being our sixth. Set in sizeable grounds, Glyn Isa is a very attractive 17th century country house. There are half a dozen rooms, sizeable and with good standard, modern en suite facilities despite the age of the building. It is a B&B, not a...

This may be a small guest house but, as they say, beautifully formed!! My wife and I arrived for a short break and were met at the door by Liz, who gave us a warm welcome. We had chosen the "Bronte" room which was to the side of the house with views over the courtyard; it had a sizeable four...

The Glyn Isa 17th Century Country house was a real gem. The owners Elizabeth and Darren could not be more warm and welcoming. The B&B is in period character with beautiful grounds and furnishings. The welsh breakfast could not be beat. The room we were in had a 4 poster bed, a nice couch but the highlight was the living...

Enjoyed a 2 night break in this quiet location. House is lovely, very clean we stayed in a lovely four poster room, breakfast was very nice with lots of choice and hostess was very friendly and helpful. Only slight disappointment was the feeble shower but by no means did it tarnish our stay. Some of the soft furnishings a little...

Had a nice weekend stay here recently in a very nice room. Had the 4 poster bed and heavy drapes etc you love to see in these old places. But on closer inspection the room was a little tired and needed a little TLC to help it make it into the luxury stay we were hoping for. Plus the shower...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Glyn Isa 17th Century Country House dates back to 1626 and is set in 10 acres of gardens and land at the foothills of the Conwy mountains just over 3 miles from the medieval walled town of Conwy in Snowdonia National Park. This is our own home and we personally offer our guests graceful accommodation and hearty Welsh breakfast accompanied by a very warm welcome. We are well positioned so that you can take advantage of all this magnificent area has to offer. All our rooms have an en suite bathroom, king size double beds, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV, free to air satellite channels, complimentary toiletries, iron and hairdryer. We have a lovely guest lounge and although we are not licensed, you may take your drinks in there and sit by a roaring log fire after a long day's sightseeing. Sorry, no children or pets. ... more   less
