Hotel is in Huancavelica's main square. Built and furnished in the 60-70's has not been modernized, with the exeption of bathrooms, cable and TV's. But rooms are ample, beds confortable , clean and warm. If traveling by car be advised there is room for parking only 4-6 vehicles. Also by 5.00 AM the surrounding churches ring their bells, it is...

Warmth is a priority in Huancavelica. On top of that, Hotel President has good sized rooms, clean and comfortable, with an extra heater added on request. And of course the location is perfect. I was the only guest on Noche Buena, but they arranged a nice log fire for me; no buffet breakfast the following morning, which was understandable, but...

I was able to make a last minute booking of a single room upon late arrival in Huancavelica. The room was warm and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for showers. There is free tea and strong wireless internet. The location is great, being right in the main square. The restaurant had good chifa food, but...

If you need comfort in Huancavelica then splurge and stay here. Our bed was so comfortable and the bathroom delightful I had a serious bout of sorache so it was lovely to lie in bed. BUT dont expect a friendly welcome like you get in family run hostels in Peru and you will struggle if you have no Spanish DONT...

Be aware that this seems to be the only three star hotel in town and if fully booked you might be hard pressed to find something similar. There was, however, plenty of room when we arrived. Accommodation is good and spacious but do ask for an electric heater because at this altitude, some 3,800 metres, it can get cold at...

Hitting town without a reservation after a six hour collectivo ride from Ayacucho, we were ready to splurge. The Hotel Presidente has great street appeal on the main square, but inside, however, you are not totally sure it is still in operation. The common space has a somewhat abandoned look and feel. The rooms, however, are quite nice, albeit oddly...

This is the only hotel that I saw in this small town high in the mountains and it was a comfortable place to stay. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, we had a nice shower with hot water and everything was clean. What more do you need? We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and...

It was very cold on our one night stay in Huancavelica, our room very was very nice but we could have done with a better heater. As it is the only reasonable hotel in town I guess they can charge a bit more than they should. The dinihg room is a bit run down but the food was reasonably good.
