Wow! What a surprise The Crown was. Beautiful old pub but renovated beautifully. Outside spaces are lovely and comfortable weather permitting. The bedrooms spacious and very comfortable. Food both in the evening and breakfast delicious with excellent service. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

This was the third time we have stayed at The Crown and rest assured it won't be the last. The rooms are unique, each sumptuous and classically decorated. A comfortable bed, on demand TV and spacious bathroom with a raindrop shower adding to the comfort. The rooms are away from the main building in a converted stable block (or similar... More

The Crown on arrival appeared ok and was, although some parts of the interior were OK, the outside and general appearance was rather tired and in need of a makeover and spruce up. Our room was clean and tidy and had a comfortable Bed, although I must add when we booked this visit a Twin room was requested, what we... More

Just returned from a 1 night stay at this pub/inn. Rooms very comfortable & tastefully decorated with tea/coffee making facilities & bathroom had a huge walk in shower. Food very good & staff very pleasant & friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The Crown does very nice food. It's not fast and it's not cheap, but it is very nice. The staff are very friendly and they have a good children's menu. My only critical feedback to the owner is that the men's toilets near the bar need some maintenance doing, they're functional but not befitting of what is otherwise a great... More

Easy to book online, very friendly welcome and service throughout and most importantly an excellent meal; good range of starters, steaks were superb and great cheese board. Good wine list and not ridiculously marked up.

Great little hotel. Good food. Room quiet and comfortable. Very handy for the Sonnings and Reading. Only grumble was the coffee machine at breakfast but mastered it eventually. Good choice on both dinner and breakfast menus.

We stayed at The Crown for my husbands birthday, it was beautiful. The food was fantastic and we had a wonderful menu to choose from. The room were amazing and straight out of a interior magazine. The whole place had a fabulous eclectic design that was wonderful. Can't wait to return.
