I have just returned from an overnight stay at The Crown, room was wonderful and spacious, it had everything you needed. Staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help. We stayed for dinner which was gorgeous! Over all a perfect stay.

Absolutely lovely. Booked through secret escapes and was excellent value. The food was wonderful ,very large portions. The rooms a little small but perfectly adequate and set in the beautiful gardens. The staff very friendly and the surrounding areas worth visiting. We went to Marlow and Sonning both on the river ,then a visit to Henley the next day. Will...

As shown overall rating Excellent in service food accommodation surroundings stayed at many hotels around the world but this one attitude to clients rates as one of the best. On a personal note I left my overnight back at the hotel but the hotel dealt with problem excellently.

We loved this place. We visited on a travelzoo deal so definitely found this good value for money. The room was lovely, clean, nicely decorated although the shower wasn't as good as it looked it was going to be (temperature control was loose and difficult to use and water power not good enough for a rainfall shower). Food was delicious,...

Gorgeous lunch, brilliant service and great atmosphere. Three of us had steaks which were cooked to absolute perfection - blue, rare and medium. One of the best places to go for a great steak and friendly, welcoming service. The wine list is great too and my Mom enjoyed the South African Dom Pedro after lunch too

Stayed here in the winter months as arrived to roaring fires so thought we would go back in the summer months - unfortunately the weather was pretty grim for time of year - wet and windy :( room was looking a bit tired since we last stayed and wasn't as clean - the radiator was caked in dust. Lovely comfortable...

We stayed there in August for one night as part of a travelzoo deal. We received a warm welcome and shown to a lovely room. All mod cons were there in a rather quaint room facing a tree lined lawn. The food was superb and the service efficient and friendly. This was one of the very best residences with first...

Our second visit to this superb pub/Hotel/restaurant in a small hamlet in the country not far from Caversham and Sonning. Once again the food was excellent as was the impeccable service from all the staff, three real ales on offer, one changed each month, from the Brakspear Brewery, all in very good condition, also lager and a good selection of...
