I choose Heathcote House at random from TripAdvisor, and it was one of the best choices I've ever made. My friend and I were using two of the rooms for one night, we arrived late on a Friday after a long trip down, Sue was incredibly friendly and welcoming, showed us the lounge where the real fire was already lit,...

This is possibly the best hotel/B&B we've ever stayed in. The building inside & out is beautiful, but the star is of course the host. Sue is so warm & friendly & a delight from the moment you walk through the door. We were shown into the superb lounge with it's books & art & real log fire, where we...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Heathcote House. I agree with all the glowing comments already appearing on Tripadvisor. This is a brilliant B&B. Sue is incredibly welcoming and generous with her hospitality. The house is beautiful. Very tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable. We stayed in the garden room which was great. The bed was large...

Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! The place was stunningly beautiful, the host was absolutely lovely with so much thought in everything down to the last little detail. We where waited on hand and foot! It was spotlessly clean and the price we paid for the service we received was to good to beat. Cannot fault this place in...

Every B & B should be like this! Starting with the incredibly warm welcome from Lovely Sue, everything about this stay was wonderful. Stepping in from the cold, I was treated to homemade cake, shortbread and tea in front of a blazing fire in the elegant yet cosy sitting room. My room (The Garden Room) was extremely comfortable and well...

This gem of a place has beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms each with their own distnct character. Sue is an incredibly generous and friendly host who takes great pleasure in making guests feel comfortable. We arrived home after a birthday meal to find a liqueur on our bedside cabinet and were treated to Sue's home made brownies when we left...

Hubby and I stayed for two nights in the Garden Room. Lovely room, wonderful welcome and a great breakfast! Easy to find on a fairly quiet main road. Good situation for visiting Tolpuddle, Corfe Castle and Lulworth Cove.

From the first moment I spoke to Sue on the phone I knew our stay was going to be good. She was cheerful, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. On arrival we were given a warm welcome and shown round the areas used by visitors. A pot of Heathcote blended tea (wonderful flavour) and home baked cake and biscuits...

We cannot express enough what a fantastic stay we had! We only stayed the one night on our way home from Cornwall but wish we had stayed longer. On arrival Sue was a brilliant host, the house is beautiful, clean and homely. Sue had made homemade Victoria sponge and white chocolate and raspberry cookies using raspberries from her amazing garden....
