Stayed 2 nights on business. Rooms are dated, beds uncomfortable. The breakfast was sparse, had also to be ordered the night before. Not a lot of choice, restricted access in and out - regarding times. Not good value for money, expected better

We visited on our honeymoon. The young man behind the bar was really friendly as was the waitress. The menu was really good and not overpriced. The food was cooked to perfection and the cheeseboard was superb, featuring a good selection of local cheeses and not the standard Cheddar, Brie and Stilton! Th Binham blue was particularly good! The only...

I had driven past this pub many times on my way home from work and always wanted to try it out. When we decided to have lunch out, I suggested we tried here. The building inside is lovely, traditional country pub to your left when you walk in and a lovely restaurant area to the right. As it was Sunday,...

So where to start on this particular review. With not a great deal to choose from in Newmarket (after a late decision to go for a weekend at the races), we found The Golden Boar Inn on Booking.com. Whilst it was a little further than we wanted to stay from the racecourse, it was relatively well priced compared to what...

Friday night and having tried four other local eating establishments who were all full, I was surprised that we could book here at the time that we wanted. I now know why. The food is not up to the descriptions on the menus and is extremely pricy, The meal for 3 at £100 was what I would expect to get...

Stayed here for one night after booking through booking.com for a wedding nearby. As we had driven past before it looked a lovely place to stay. That's where the 'lovely' ends. We got to the pub about 6pm & one other couple in the pub & no one sitting outside which I thought unusual for such a sunny day. Check...

What a great stay we had. Arrived early on the Saturday morning and were greeted by the owner and his son. We had a lovely cooked breakfast which was freshly cooked for us. As there was 12 of us, everything came out pipping hot and we did not wait long for it. We had an evening meal which was first...

Very friendly staff. Double room very comfortable. Shame the TV was out of the ark, and the shower barely had enough pressure to force out enough water for a decent shower. Wifi was not available i the room, only in the pub itself - a cheap booster would sort this. Could be seen as pickey, didnt deter us from our...
