Muiphang is a tiny guest house, 2 mins walk to the famous night shopping street. It offers only 2 rooms with a river view. The best (and the most expensive) room is on the second floor. Each room is named as flower, the best one is Peony or Botan in Thai language. I reviewed the trip advisor to get the... More

We had a very nice room, overlooking the river on the first floor. We fell for the view from the room, the room inc bfst costed 1400 THB. Bfst consisted of Isaan style fried eggs and the compulsory bread with jam and butter. Eggs were great! View was amazing indeed and the craft beer we bought from Joe, a few... More

Avoid downstairs room, which surprisingly costs the same as the 2nd floor room. It's basically a trap for tourists who want a river view when the upstairs room is booked. The room's acoustic is not ideal for people who value privacy. Noise from upstairs and people passing by, grabbing bicycles (parked directly in front of the room) is quite a... More

Having read the comments we decided to book the Peony room, which is upstairs overlooking the Mekong river. It is a wonderful room which we recommend you to book if free. The location of the guesthouse is ideal at the start of walking street in the northern end. All within reach but still quiet so you can enjoy the view... More

Room and location are kind of ok but the place needs a face lift on guest service. Moody staff at check-in is a major turn-off. Room floor can be very cold in cool season, so hotel might consider providing slippers in the room. Basic map could have been provided. The place needs to invest in new sets of towel. Breakfast... For my experience a night on second floor on river view. It's not quit good, the hard rain came and fell some on bed. The atmosphere almost spooky. I heard sound from outside the room because wood floor and door. The bed has some noise when moved. I'm not sleep well here, but overall and decorate style may attract someone.

This guesthouse is in an excellent location right on the Mekong River with a Promenade running along the river in front of the backside of the g.h. so great views! But I have to say the service was terrible. The staff person did not speak English, and after my initial check-in, I did not see any staff person until near... More
