This place is pure magic. I loved the room, the food, the service and the birds watching walking route. Don't miss it and ask for the waffles at breakfast. I found that amazing. One detail I just loved was the shower, so I always look at the bathroom and the water pressure. It was just perfect.
Beautiful hotel but the bad service kills all the charm. Internet in terrible, expect 450kbps, not even enough to download their menu. We booked the sauna, it was cold. We booked the jacuzzi, it was cold.. They won’t give you the room before 3pm even if they have it ready. After 8pm there is nobody at the gate, expect to spend 15min to leave and another 15min (if you are lucky, because they don’t pick up the phone at the evening either) when you come back to open the gate. When you pay the price of a 5 stars you expect the best not the worst. Do yourself a favor, just go for a lunch to enjoy the view, save your money, there are very nice hotels in the area.
Beautiful setting, rooms, amenities, espectacular views. New hotel. Not the service you would expect for this kind of hotel and price though. Drinks took more than 30mins every time. When in the pool, not a single waiter approached us in more than an hour, and we were trying to order. Food quality is very poor. We went for breakfast at 9am, and out of 3 options we were left with an egg and bread. Dinner was overcooked spaghetti, and the pork belly sandwich was ok but not the kind of dinner you would expect at a fancy hotel. We decided not to grab lunch, Not worth it.
After Bogotá landing into Armenia & 30min drive ti this stunning place was just the chill out factor we needed. I personally loved the design and the room blew me away. We were overlooking the valley (Sunset room) and it was so peaceful. The views from the restaurant area lovely and didn’t bother us to see Armenia down below. Breakfast was very nice, fresh fruit, juice lovely and various cooked options. We used the jacuzzi in the pool, but pool is only about 1ft deep so not for swimming which was a shame. We did eat here all 3 nights as you’d have to get a taxi to go anywhere else. We also did 2 tours with Penelope Birding, Nicolas excellent so ask for him. Beautiful place and would definitely recommend.
After a few frustrations before arriving, I am very happy to have gone here. The setting is spectacularly beautiful and our suite was gorgeous, with polished concrete floors, an indoor-outdoor shower and walls of glass that opened onto a huge terrace with fantastic sunset views. The staff worked very hard to make this a good experience and their efforts are much appreciated. And there are lots of amazing things to do in the area. A Cocora Valley hike, a visit to a coffee plantation, and a bird-watching tour are highly recommended. Very much worth the effort to get here.
