After walking the Queen Charlotte track it was a delight to come into Punga Cove and see the Lodge with fantastic facilities and wonderful views over a delightful location. The staff were very considerate and helpful and the room and kitchen facilities were more than adequate.

Room was a little dated BUT a great view, a decent bed and quiet ... just what you need after Day #1 of cycling on the Track. Beach is rocky, but the water was swimmable. Food was very tasty. If the seafood chowder is on the menu, grab it.

Punga cove!! We come to the sounds each year and you get better each time. This time (march 2017) the place was looking better than ever. Lots of people, great food, great facilities on the beach. The lovely bar man was very helpful and served us at dinner. The food there was good but dessert was amazing! We can't wait...

I stayed in one of the backpacker rooms for 1 night during my bike trip through New Zealand. The room was small but perfectly clean and very cheap – and the views over the cove and the rolling hills was just spectacular. On the bike, it took me some time to get there but the location and the views were...

INCREDIBLE VIEWS!! It was relaxing, romantic, clean, tidy, very comfortable, and had a beautiful big balcony overlooking the ocean... such a unique lodge, it felt like being in a wilderness retreat! The staff were very warm and friendly so I would definitely go back, especially for food and local wine! Amazing value for money, highly highly highly recommend for a...

For budget accommodation, could not be happier with what Punga Cove offered. I stayed in their lodge, a private room overlooking the Cove. Great amenities and wonderful to relax after a day of hiking.

We stayed for three nights in Room 11 with an incredible view over the Endeavor Inlet. We had been to Punga Cove ten years ago and enjoyed our time so much that we came back. It did not disappoint! The setting is still incredible and the service from the staff (which was awesome the first time) was even better this...

Punga Cove was the second night on our Queen Charlotte Track walk. It was unfortunate our rooms were up a hill after two days of walking but it's a lovely spot to stay. We stayed in The Lodge which was more than adequate for our needs. After hobbling down to the bar we enjoyed a drink overlooking the water, very...

We stayed two nights recently and to be honest we weren't entirely sure what to expect as we were on a road trip and ultimately staying at many different locations along the way and we hadn't gone to the trouble of micro analysing every venue in advance. First and foremost, the journey there by car is tedious on a very...

My group stayed here on night 2 of our 4 day walk. It was really fantastic despite the fact our room was up a steep hill. They have a pool and a spa which wAs very welcome as we were all sore and tired. The evening food was really great. The breakfast was wonderful especially the fruit. The service was...
