Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Grosvenor hotel Adelaide is central to all city highlights, however, the hotel is old and tired. musty smell in hallways, corridors and carpetted areas. carpets are worn and stained. walls and plastered cornices are worn and damaged. The interior needs to be totally renovated. Rooms are tiny with no views from the rooms we were allocated. Window in the room was whited out. Staff were excellent but breakfast was also disappointing. Covid measures were in place . Self service of packaged cereals packaged juices and milk were available, however metal tongs for everyones use to handle items were on the service table!

Needed to get out of the house so headed here with friend for a couple of days away. Found it to be very peaceful and relaxing. Not much was open around so we spent most of our time at the cottage. We had the first cottage and would stay here again.

My parents arranged this accommodation for my 95 yo Aunty months in advance of my wedding and tried many times in the week leading up to her stay to ensure suitability. On arrival- No power or water. Dirty dishes in sink. Beds unmade and DIRTY. Rude and completely unhelpful service (servicing off site and hours away) Refuse to refund despite not being able to stay for the aforementioned reasons. Poor Aunty cold and highly distressed. Disgusting, ignorant, unconscionable.

Using 'frequent flyer' points we booked a two night stay in a cabin. We arrived at reception to a warm welcome. The 3 cabins are in original and well maintained condition but so out of date it's almost like visiting the 80's again. The setting is really good and there are plenty of places to walk a dog between the paddocks of abandoned vines. During our stay we had a feeling of lovely isolation partly due to the winery itself having no patrons. The cabins and disused vineyard is up for sale and with some vision and enthusiastic updating the cabins could once again be worth the tariff.

Booked a cottage for the annual Oktoberfest which was a great event in itself, but the highlight was the cottage...set amongst gumtrees on the fringe of the estate the cottage was a tranquil and private getaway with all the facilities needed for a great escape...spa bath overlooking the bush, fireplace, a wide selection of beers wines and ciders from the Estate...and nothing to disturb the night but the frogs and bird calls..magic!

Stayed for 2 nights with our dog Maggie in August. The cottage has everything you need and was so cosy and private. Spent Saturday morning on a stunning drive around the area and down to the nearby beaches. We then settled in at the brewery for the afternoon. Our pie for lunch was delicious and we had a fair crack at trying all the beers and wines. Jude was an excellent host and made us feel really welcome. Would love to go back.

Me and my partner stopped in and thought we would be there for 20 minutes to try some beers, which i might add were delicious. We ended up staying for an hour having a great yarn with the lovely couple working there. What a great place to work!! They were very freindly, we would definatly come back just to have a beer with the staff :) keep up the good work

Stayed here for two nights in July. The cabin was fully prepared (i.e. lights and heating on) upon our arrival after hours and was warm, comfortable and completely spotless, with a well-equipped and spacious kitchen. The cabin is beautifully located, surrounded by woods and vineyards. We spotted wallabies and woke to the sound of kookaburras - a great novelty for regular city-dwellers! We sampled the wares of Otway Estate brewery when the cellar door was open on Saturday afternoon, where we spent a few hours in the relaxing company of our friendly hosts Jude and Craig. We also took advantage of the estate's close proximity to beautiful areas such as Lake Elizabeth, Otway Fly Treetop Adventures, Hopetoun Falls and the Redwood Plantation. Couldn't recommend this place more highly for a weekend getaway!

Beer 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Wine 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Venue 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Food 👎🏻 Service 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 I really don't like giving negative reviews, so all I can say is that the beer is amazing and the setting is quite nice, best on a warm day. After waiting 20 minutes at a counter with no staff to order my beer, it was delicious.
