Perched in the center of ‘Batik Town’ of Pekalongan, The Sidji Hotel sweeps you back to the old-world charm of this coastal town in the 1920s. The boutique hotel embraces the antiquity of Hoo’s clan house—the 4th generation family of Peranakan in Pekalongan. The exquisite façade of the 90-year-old house is now equipped with modern amenities; seamlessly designed to blend with the town’s true spirit. The Sidji Hotel is a new addition to Pekalongan, a lively town along The Pesisir—the coastal area in Central Java. Whether you’re on a business trip, visiting families and friends, or thinking of enjoying a vacation, The Sidji Hotel offers a variety of room types to suit your needs. The hotel is conveniently located within a 5-minute walk to alun-alun (town centre), batik villages, Hypermart in Plaza Pekalongan shopping centre, and some national banks. Only 4.5-hour train-ride from Jakarta, Pekalongan offers many interesting activities for your weekend getaway.

Quaint hotel in central java, the original house is very well kept and functioning as lobby area. Its very surreal standing in the lobby, it reminded me of my grand mother's house. The tiles, door knobs, lights, are all in one aura with the hotel. The hotel rooms are located in the low rise building attached to the lobby by a swimming pool and a restaurant. Rooms were very clean, good size, comfortable. There were touches of batik pekalongan in the furnishing, making it feel more authentic. Food was good, and the service was impeccable. The hotel staff made sure we had what we wanted, offered alternatives, and never missed a beat.

I and my family were book and stay 2 rooms with King bed for 2 nights at this hotel at 9-11 April 2021. We are glad that the rooms are clear and the room amenities were well maintained. What really annoy us are the noise from upper floor guest who are very noisy at 2 a.m morning (when everybody asleep). We already complained to the management (thru complain forms) and thru front desk. It almost 5 star stay for us. But, we can't give 5 star due to this situation.

A very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel is quiet. Hotel staff took long to help us with the connecting door between our rooms, but in general they are friendly and helpful. During Covid they don't serve breakfast buffet. Instead you must place your breakfast order the night before, and you can have them in the restaurant. The pool is a joy for kids. Location is close to the Town square where you can find hawkers selling traditional cuisines. Some good restaurants are also within walking distance from the hotel.
