Old village inn with great views across valley, rooms, local pub and restauraunt. Great room (no.2), two mullioned windows with lovely views, four poster bed and good en-suite. Mattress a bit soft for my taste, loved that had a cafetiere for ground coffee also nice hot chocolate. Overall a medium priced good overnight stay. Pub nice and cosy with wood...

Stayed recently for one night and also ate in the main restaurant. First off, the owner can't do enough for you - always happy to try and help and he, and the rest of the staff, take pride in both the building and their service. Room was fine for our needs (2 adults, 1 young child) and we had a...

Stayed for 2 nights as we had a friends wedding nearby at kingscote. Staff were very helpful and attentive, enjoyed a lovely evening meal one night by the roaring fire (great menu for allergies - I'm cealiac). Breakfast was decent too. Well sized room and suited our needs well. Bit of road noise where room was at front which woke...

This was booked as a birthday surprise by my wife. It was booked on the basis that it was a 4 star rated Inn and the nightly rate, excluding breakfast, seemed to justify the high star rating. (About £100 a night) On arrival the location is lovely, and the public parts of the Inn I could not fault. Now, if...

We were visiting Weston Birt arbouretum, and read reviews for Amberly Inn, we were so glad we did. It is in an idyllic position on common land in a small village that has hardly changed since the 1930's, the inn is a really attractive period building with good parking facilities, but it is inside that it really shines. The staff...

The location is excellent so is the food. The three premier rooms our group had in our opinion were over priced, two of them did not have a wardrobe, just pegs on the wall and six hangers, if you are there for a week it would be a struggle. Our room was clean and comfortable. The service at times left...

I would expect the food here to be good, as we only had the pork scratching (homemade) and profiteroles... And these were done well. We had a lovely afternoon in here having drinks. The staff were really friendly, and just made you feel at home. Location wise it is in a picturesque spot. Well worth a visit if in or...

Approximately 35 years ago, my wife and her best friend (and future maid of honor) travelled in England and stayed at the Amberley Inn. She had great memories of that stay and always wanted to return and relive the experience. After an Atlantic crossing, a few days in London and a Thames River cruise, off we went in search of...

Firstly I am delighted you enjoyed our fantastic food, we do pride ourselves on offering something for everyone and clearly we did not disappoint. We are a traditional Cotswold Inn, part of our charm is our building dating back to 1855. Stone mullioned windows and oak panelled rooms with open roaring fires are clearly not to everyone's tastes. You may...

We were looking for somewhere to stay overnight to break up our journey to Cornwall. We were warmly welcomed, despite arriving at nearly 9pm. We had a quick bar snack that did the job. And good beers on! The room was spacious and the bed huge! Arriving after dark, we had no idea how beautiful the surrounding countryside was. What...
