I booked 3 rooms of the hotel for my husband and his mates. They asked for my credit card details, assuring me they wouldn't use the credit card, because I had told them my husband would be paying cash for all 3 rooms.

When the group got to the hotel, they told them there was only a family room available, so they took it. It was only one night. Then I realised the hotel had charged for me for 3 individual rooms, and an additional charge for the family room.

I called the hotel and they assured me that hadn't been done. I argued that it had been done, and they would not accept that.

I contacted my credit card people, they told me they would check it all out, and now they just come back to me (3 months later) and told me that it must be all fine because the merchant has provided a receipt for all 3 rooms and the extra charge.

So they kept my credit details, ran it through they're Eftpos machine, which you can do as I run a business of my own, and have collected the money without any hesitation.

Stay away from this hotel. They are completely dodgy.

Checking in at reception was unusual as it was in the front bar and being asked out to remove our son as reception was next to the pokies. Paid for 2 rooms as I thought it was going to be a double bed in one room and a single in the other. Turned out to be a single AND a double in both rooms. All I could smell in reception was cigarettes. Got to our rooms and it was cold and noisy. Air conditioner wasn't working properly or not at all. The windows weren't able to be locked and when closed, the road noise coming through the two glass panels was terrible. Bathroom was a little small but it was clean. The bed was terrible, have to say what sleep we had, was the worst sleep ever. Went to the front bar to buy a cans/bottles of soft drink and being told they don't sell them there, you have to go to the pizza bar next door. All good, on the way back through the front bar, asked for a mixer bottle like scotch and cola or bourbon and cola and then being told we don't sell that here. What kind of front bar is this? We were to stay for 2 nights but just bit the bullet and booked another hotel closer to the airport.

It was horrible. The place was so messy. Dust and cobwebs for miles, cockroaches splattered on the walls, mould on everything including the curtains, hair all through the shower. Extremely noisy and rude customer service

If it sounds like a budget motel, looks like a budget motel, and costs like a budget motel, it's probably a budget motel. But it had a private bathroom and a working split system, so it fulfilled my minimum requirements. The wifi is pretty unstable but it does work. The room is dated (again, budget motel) but reasonably clean. It's a place to sleep, not much more.

Very well priced budget location, close to Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney CBD and the airport. Tidy budget accomodation, great for a day or night stay to rest on your road trip. Food and Beverages are located in the adjoining club!

This place is dirty, smelly, old and extremely deceptive.

We drove up to Sydney from Melbourne and arrived at the hotel at 11pm. 2 out of 4 rooms we had booked had not even been made or cleaned from the previous occupancy.

All rooms had a dense smell of cigarettes and sweat. The carpets were dirty and very dusty. The bathrooms are scummy and slimey. The air conditioning did not work in a couple of the rooms. We found bugs on the beds and pillows inside the rooms.

Complaining to the staff, the response received was that this was pretty standard for them and they didn't see any problem with it. Their attitudes were quite arrogant and uncompassionate. It took a long time to negotiate a refund with them.

We had booked for 4 nights, however, upon seeing the conditions we were about to live in, we decided to book another place and were compensated with a full refund despite allowing us one night stay.

Overall, not at all a great experience. Many health and safety issues screaming out. Please don't stay here and allow them to continue this standard of service as it needs to be addressed and rectified promptly.

If you want a really nice Scotch, Porterhouse or T.Bone this is the place to go. Beautifully cooked and very big for $18.50. Not the prettiest pub but it sure would be hard to beat food wise. Staff very pleasant and if you are staying at Bankstown Motel 10 its a 5 minute walk.

Mouldy smells bothered me all night. Bad mosquitoes kept me curling in my bed (seems like they were getting in somehow even though everything was closed). A bar is located just in front of the hotel and I kept the TV on to drown out the noise. The shower and room is a bit run down as well. Don't bother.

The hotel has been renovated about a year ago. It looks rather impressive from the outside. Decided to have Pub food last night. Walk into the hotel bar/ bistro lounge and ordered a Scotch steak and a grilled Baramundi for dinner. The steak was cooked to perfection and the grilled Baramundi. The prices are resonable and generoud with the portions. Will definitely come back for the steaks.
