We sadly only had one night here and we took over all 7 rooms. We had one of the best meals of our trip, the owner (I presume) took the trouble to explain the local food and its significance, everything was obviously lovingly cooked and prepared and it was indeed a superb meal. The room was really quaint as is...

A Spanish person on the Camino told me about the famous Cocido Maragato of Astorga. I was looking forward to having it but my arrival in Astorga was much to early in the day so I continued on to my destination for the day. When I inquired at the hotel about the possibility of finding a delicious Cocido, Cuca La...

It was a godsend to find this along the Camino de Santiago (it is a slight detour from the path). Clean rooms, great service, great food. (Tip: even if it says rooms aren't available on TripAdvisor, try calling!)

A very nice stay in Cuca La Vaina. The host and hostess made a true effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We were the only guests, but the kitchen was open for us and the staff did even our laundry. Breakfast was also very nice with many home made products. The room was comfortable and the village...

Clean, quiet, friendly staff in a cute picturesque little town in the country. Modern amenities in an antique setting. A real gem. So different from the hustle and bustle of the city. I would come back in a minute.

Every time I go to Castrillo, I stay there. It is inexpensive, clean, the service is excellent and the staff are very nice, helpful and full of stories and great advice. The amazing breakfast is included, and if you get lucky, you can enjoy it in the lovely outdoor terrace. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic place to eat and stay if you want a little splurge while hiking the Camino. It requires a small detour, but very small indeed and is so worth it! The proprietors couldn't be nicer, the town is absolutely charming, and the premises are spotless. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal and comfortable accommodations. In...
