Came here with a large group. Some staff treated us as if we were on impost. Asked for some cutlery and told to go find some somewhere. Sad to see. Location is very beautiful, accommodation is good though

I received a text saying our room was ready, when we arrived there was a work man coming in and out for around 2 hours- trying to fix the TV. He was unsuccessful so no tv for 2 nights, no wifi or phone reception. The room wasn’t what I would call clean, and after 2 night I was sure I could smell vomit. I cleaned the bathroom and toilet myself. Room not cleaned during stay at all. The kitchen benches and floor were sticky. It didn’t matter how many times I cleaned it, it was sticky and there was a very constant parade of ants. The pool area was in need of a very good pressure clean. Very dated rooms. The restaurant was lovely I would recommend that and the staff. The ‘manager’ was going to call me regarding our issues however 6 days later and have heard nothing. Overpriced at $230 per night

Went here for my sisters wedding yesterday and not only did they have her wedding there they had another wedding booking for a different wedding , my sister had originally planned to have a garden wedding, but due to weather she had a plan B, for it to be moved inside on the staircase, and was told she would definitely be able to use this area but no this was already taken by another wedding who had also been booked for the same time, her whole day was a brides worst nightmare, We paid $70 per head for dinner and it was terrible, 3 people had food allergies and they were told about this prior to the day, but yet we’re still served nuts, the 3 children of the bride were meant to get there dinner first (chicken nuggets and chips) but no they all got fed after entrees so they were absolutely starving, not a good way to treat kids under the age of 5 years old, The mains choice was roast or salmon Roast was chewy and salmon was well and truly dry, We then got told we were hold up desert because the speeches were to long, The desert was a very dry mud cake, or a pavlova which was ok, The bar staff were not very welcoming and looked and acted like they were attached to a ball and chain and forced to be there, we stood there at the bar for well over 20 minutes while the bar staff were no where to be seen, on more than one occasion, Now as a bartender myself I always like to make sure my customers are happy and made feel welcome no one felt like this last night at all, we all felt like we were attending a funeral it felt morbid. Now the rooms, definitely not worth the money we paid either, the shower was dirty and had hair in it still and a black bottom, the outside light was hanging out of the socket, the deck was very slippery with no mat or even a sign to warn us, my grandmother fell over because of this, it could have been an absolute disaster if my brother wasn’t there to help her, all in all we all felt rushed and not welcome there at all, definitely not a recommendation if you want your perfect day ruined.

We were really pleased to provide the wedding space and reception for your sister and we also recognise what a pain the weather was on the day! We have several large function rooms and have always easily handled multiple weddings or events on the same day. The short story here is that your sister did not actually arrange a contingency plan for her ceremony and another wedding party organised to use the stairs first. We set up another space for the ceremony on the fly and at no cost but were rudely told that you would rather get married in a pub. We're sorry that you misunderstood needing to have a contingency plan for wet weather and can understand that this was hard to emotionally recover from at the time. You're opinion is valid and we can appreciate your perspective, but not everything in your review is accurate and we have also compensated the wedding couple in good faith for the ceremony (even though it wasn't out fault)

We stayed here last weekend, we booked the Chalet and it was still quite expensive! I was previously a housekeeper before children and I was shocked at the place, the beds were super uncomfortable and my husband is still dealing with a sore back! The rooms were quite cold which resulted in an early wake up for my daughter, the bunk bed ladder almost came off when I tried to get up to fix the cord from the electric blanket which was dangling down below and could have wrapped around my child's neck, so unsafe for children to climb and have anything like that dangling anywhere, couches were completely falling apart and ply wood under the couch because the bottom had fallen through which is just SO lazy and uncomfortable, only two small shampoo and conditioners the pump in the shower didn't even work 🙄 make sure you buy travel things for staying here but seriously after looking at these reviews who would, the place was packed I am sure you have a budget and some good money to splurge a bit especially if everyone is paying $400+ to stay (in a chalet) - one of the bounce pillows was completely deflated aswell, a massive sign in front of the bounce pillow so we can't even see our children jump or keep and eye on them, 1 table to sit at like, seriously! It was just a complete disaster and something needs to be done about it! We wont be coming back anytime, which makes me so sad cause I loved it here when I was a kid! I hope you take these reviews on board because I won't be recommending this place anymore unfortunately!

Thanks for staying with us and we're sorry to hear about your experience. Please don't hesitate to contact us during your stay if anything is wrong (especially if it's dangerous). We have 24/7 maintenance and reception and provide all guests with prompt service. You'll always find our pricing is fair and competitive when booked directly with us and the amount that you've paid is indicative for a family of 4+ at a peak time. We love your ideas about extra tables at the bouncing cushions and will put that forward at our next management meeting. Thanks again for your feedback!

Mick was very rude and racist ! Not only to me but also to other people ! he is an arrogant person who has no proper leadership ! the company should look into this ! I am sorry to say he is so unqualified to be in that position ! No patience at all!!!!!!!! They were supposed to give a refund but its being more than a month nothing ! SCAM is the name ! soon will be lodging a complaint with ACCC and other bodies ! The rooms are hopeless ! trust me save your time and money and go else where ! its not worth it at all !

This is a repeat review from an evicted guest. After many attempts to contact this guest, they were evicted by Tas Police from the property for parking their vehicle across the main hotel entry and blocking emergency services access.
