Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just came home from a trip to Tassie. Our last three days were spent here. The staff were lovely but there were a few problems. Firstly I didn’t realise that the rooms would not be refreshed. That was not a problem although there was a notice saying that if any dishes were not washed there would be a &20 charge. Really? Secondly there was no telephone in our room. Very concerning if you didn’t have a mobile. There was also no wifi in the room so if you happened to be from overseas you would be in trouble if you happened to have a medical event. Also in the bathroom there was a tiny waste basket. Luckily I requested another bin which was delivered. The soap container in our shower and our friends shower was empty.
Now there were a couple of cafes in the resort. They were not allowed to open until 0900 and had to close at 5 pm. This was so that could try to make people to have breakfast in their restaurant. This place is not a resort.

Our stay has been enjoyable. Very efficient and friendly check in at reception and very good facilities. The swimming pool and jumping balloons a highlight for us. We didn’t do the put put golf as one of our kids is too little but it looked in very good condition and plenty of other families were enjoying it. Although it’s school holidays and heavily booked, the accommodation is well spaced so it didn’t seem that busy. We stayed in a cabin with an adjoining cabin attached. The adjoining cabin was quite modern and comfortable, our cabin was older. It was clean and has new carpet but does need some maintenance. Saying that they are only smaller or cosmetic things but it’d make a big difference. For example, sticking front door, door Handle fell off bedroom door, some 1970s kitchen utensils ect. The beds were very comfortable, the cabin was clean, the shower hot and the room was kept very warm by the heat pump. Overall the accommodation was value for money and I would recommend people to stay. We have already re booked for later in the year.

Although it is a lovely place to stay, I had asked for a disabled cabin as I am currently in a wheelchair. Our cabin was not wheelchair friendly, I could just get my wheelchair in the doorway of the bathroom then had to hop on on leg to the toilet which was a standard height and I really struggled getting up, no handrails. Also in the restaurant the disabled toilet is a standard height but there were handrails. The meal in the restaurant was disappointing. The cheese pizza we had as a entree was very nice, but my main meal was overcooked and dry. Great place for taking children, so much for them to do.

I stayed here with my husband for one night. I went here as a child and I'm now 32 and it's like this place has frozen in time - has not changed one bit. The public areas and rooms are in DESPERATE need for an update and are very dated with a mish mash of ugly decor and our room had damaged ceilings and floors. The managers have to have some cheek displaying a sign over the sink that says if guests don't wash up their dishes they will be charged a $20 fee - get real absolutely disgusting when you pay a decent charge for the room. Also disappointing to see plastic straws still being used in the bar. The grounds are looking like they aren't being maintained which is a real shame because it's a really lovely location. At breakfast the next morning despite staff standing around they weren't clearing any tables. I had to ask them to bring out coffee cups and there were a lot of heavily overweight people demolishing the buffet which wasn't being replenished so there wasn't much of anything left, and what was left was lacking any flavour, do yourself a favour and have breakfast elsewhere. Definitely a blast from the past but we won't consider going back.

Our family have stayed at the resort a few times, and whilst the price is usually good for families, the facilities are not being maintained to a decent standard.

The rooms are nice, but the furnishings are old & dreadfully uncomfortable. The whole room stunk of bleach on arrival so we had to open the windows to air it out.

The pirate ship playground is rotting in places and is becoming dangerous, but the other kids facilities are in good repair.

We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast deal, and the information in the room states that breakfast is in the restaurant and sounded quite nice - instead breakfast was in the bakery, with very little choice and NO healthy choices.

We purchased a Family Fun pass so that we could take advantage of the facilities, and part of the pass was 2 children’s lunches in the restaurant - as we only have one child we took this to mean he could eat lunch in there twice, but this was not the case - he just got a “free” juice instead of a second meal. The kids lunch choices were incredibly limited and not very nice, so we chose not to pursue this further.

If you’re looking for cheap accommodation, this is your place, but don’t go in with high expectations.

I stayed at the resort back on the last weekend in September 2020. I up graded to a Spa Room, the person who rang me back insisted that if I didnt show up or cancel, I would lose all my money, 2 nights at $320. I was there for a wedding, so no cancellation. Bad attitude... Friday dined in the Restaurant, staff were inexperienced and didnt understand aspects of the menu. We enquired about the Sticky Date pudding, if it was coffee or chocolate? my friend would have an anaphylactic shock if she had coffee... The response from the kitchen was, "Read the menu". Hello this didnt answer the question? Have to admit tho, the food was awesome. As mentioned I booked a Spa room, but didnt have any hot water for 3 days, Awesome for a cold spa in winter conditions. Excuse was the gas heater were on separate units, no message from Management after it was mentioned, washed myself down with boiled water from the kettle. The breakfast chef walked out at least 3 times with a very dirty T-Towel over his shoulder. The reason I am writing this review is that I have mentioned the issues in the check out. I have filled out the emailed reviews, I send a detailed email to the Management. NOTHING. I have travelled the world, stayed in over 50 countries, have run hotels, etc, so if they had addressed my comments, this review wouldnt be on their site. So I will NEVER stay there again, there are some good AirBNB's in the area.

Went here for 1st wedding anniversary with the family. Very outdated vista chalets, needs a good paint job. Each time opening and shutting windows the window winder would fall off. Room smelt musky. Plates and glasses were dirty (in these COVID times you would expect a dish washer in rooms for health and safety)
Restaurant was very expensive $15 for kids meals is very steep. Ordered 2 pizzas which were very expensive and very small for $24 each. Pool, spa and gym were good but change rooms very dirty.
For 2 nights it cost us approx $500 which it wasn't worth it.

Unfortunately for all the hype and the price you pay (depending on the room) - in my case an executive suite, I was expecting a much higher standard of cleanliness, upkeep and maintenance for the room.
The reception staff I can not fault. The room itself felt very worn and needed a lot of things replaced and fixed. It seems on other platforms the establishment only likes to reply to higher rated reviews given and not try to resolve or acknowledge the lesser starred feedback. The room I stayed in had a leaking sink and water stain in the kitchenette cupboard, unfortunately the spa had no been properly cleaned with the appropriate products as the jets still had scum around them, the grout between the tiles definitely needed a good bleach or scrub, silicon replaced due to mould. My main concern is the placing of the bar heater directly above the bathroom door, the paint was peeling due too high heat temperatures and is a dangerous fire hazard if a guest unintentionally left the heater on all day whilst out. The back of the door had heat burns on it also and was dicky to try and close, and the spa at the time of our stay was not working, the bathroom sink plug had not been paid attention to in a little while either.

It’s things like this that most are polite enough to not mention, but how is a business meant to move ahead and improve if they do not respond to feedback given, even in their own little private emailed surveys they send where one has the option to leave all their contact details for correspondence.
I had heard many blissful raving reviews about the place so decided to give it a go and stay for the night. At this stage lemons would possibly leave a less sour taste in my mouth. I do understand that with same day turnovers for their rooms each of their attendants has a specific time frame to focus on setting up and getting the room ready for the next lot of guests, but most of the above things mentioned weren’t from one day missed they have accumulated over time. As for the room maintenance issues they definitely need to be looked into and fixed sooner rather than later.

I’d love to bring my whole family up one day, but that won’t be anytime soon if things don’t scrub up and improve in the meantime.
No I’m not a sour puss and the first review I left on the booking platform I was quite polite about and mentioned that certain things were left unsaid and not suitable for a public forum. But due to a non- response from the establishment, here we are.
Enjoy the rest of your evening & have a wonderful weekend!!!

We arrived late in the day and were grateful to find accommodation for 4 adults even though we had to pay $330 for a 2 bedroom villa. That is where the gratitude ended. The whole village was dated and in need of renovation. The villa although reasonably clean was not comfortable. The makeshift board under the couch cushions didnt work. It was extremely uncomfortable. Senf them to the tip. No chair in bedroom to put belongings. Clothes had to be dumped on floor. No shampoo/conditioner these can be purchased from onsite shop. Blackberries and thistles in garden at entrance not a good look. And then to leave a note at sink to tell us if we would like them to do our dishes when we leave, please advise reception and a $20 fee would apply. One wonders how clean the dishes were. It was obvious this place is a childrens' holiday camp - change the name to reflect this.

We stayed here as a family of 8 with 2 cabins & 1 hotel style room. We were very disappointed in the condition of all the accommodation. The rooms were dinghy, cold & very dated. Everything they advertised that we thought would be fun for the kids was at an additional cost (pool excepted).

The "bistro" was unfriendly with not a great deal of menu choice & the service was very poor.

Not once when we entered the reception area were we greeted or acknowledged.

We will never stay here again & would not recommend it.
