Detailed Reviews
I found the Quest at Moonee Valley to be in a very good location. The rooms were quiet and there is ongoing, low-key maintenance which is keeping it in quite good shape. This is my second visit, and the mattresses seems to have been improved! Great location for public transport heading into the city, and a great location for visiting Moonee Ponds itself.

We reserved a two bedroom apartment for our extended stay in Melbourne. The apartment was conveniently located near our family. It was spacious, clean and well appointed and worked out perfectly for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. I liked the fact there was a washer dryer and that basic amenities such as washing powder and dishcloths were provided. Regular housekeeping and plenty of clean towels too. Lots of local restaurants that delivered to the location via uber eats. Would stay here again.

I would highly recommend Quest Moonee Valley! The service is excellent and the staff are lovely. The location is ideal as it is only 10 minutes from the CBD, a two minute walk from a major bus terminal, train and tram lines. Puckle street is just down the road with plenty of shops, cafes and grocery stores. There is a beautiful botanical garden within walking distance as well. The rooms are clean and have everything you could need including some of the most comfy beds I’ve ever slept in in a hotel.

A great location however the road noise can be a little disturbing if the windows are left open.
Having to ask for basic tea and coffee etc after accessing the room is not satisfactory.
Noise from adjoining rooms can be annoying

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was clean but the shower in the ensuite was very small. These apartments are advertised on the Quest Website as being serviced everyday but we stayed for 5 days and had to ask when they would be serviced we were told due to Covid that they are only serviced when you leave. You could ask for clean towels and tea bags etc but there was nothing to let us know that was the case. I rang before we checked in to ask if they had a washing machine and dryer in the 2 bedroom apartment and it was confirmed that they do both in there two bedroom and one bedroom apartments but they failed to tell me that they did not service the apartment. As they are still charging the same rate I think this is poor. We have stayed in Quest Apartment in New South Wales during Covid and the apartment was serviced on a daily basis except on a Sunday which is standard Quest practice. The rooms were clean and tidy and there is car parking off street which is free. These apartments are close to Moonee Ponds shopping centre and also public transport both trains and trams. We will try again and stay here and see if they are serviced or at least they notified the guests when they check in that they are not serviced on a daily basis.

Dear Tullagirl, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately in Victoria, we have had a different Covid experience to New South Wales. There have been numerous occasions with the lockdowns and restrictions where we have been unable to service apartments. To keep our guests and staff safe, we have limited some housekeeping for shorter stays. We are happy to provide extra amenities and towels. Our rates have been reduced last year and this year to reflect this. My apologies, you were not informed of this. Kind Regards,

I stayed in a one bed Unit in Quest Moonee Valley for more than one year during the covid times. The duration of my stay in itself speaks volumes about the wonderful one year I had. Vincent and his staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, serviced weekly and very well furnished with all the essentials provided. Plenty of parking space, a barbecue and a pool add to the overall experience. Since I was working from home, without my asking I was provided with a office desk (I was touched with the concern for the guests)
The location is great, close to shops, public transport and very quiet. I would definitely be returning here to stay, highly recommend.
PS: I arrived in Apr-2020 (the options here only select from June 2020

After our previous accommodation feel through the staff at Quest were very helpful in our late and VERY short notice booking for a 2 bedroom appartment over the Christmas break. The appartment was very clean and serviced daily. They were happy to accomodate our needs with a toddler and infant.

Travelled 200km looking forward to a restful evening and a short trip next morning to Melb. Airport for an early flight. Restful evening didn’t eventuate. Upon arrival 3 people were sitting in shelter near pool , work clothes/fluoros, relaxing and enjoying a few drinks after work. That’s ok. They were still there at 8.40 when we arrived back from dinner. That’s ok. However my wife and I were both disturbed after midnight by their noise on a number of occasions. Discovered next morning that our son, in the other bedroom was woken and unable to sleep because of their noise. His room faced the pool and shelter. He told us that he went outside at 1.30 am and asked the 2 men who were there at that time to stop the noise and continue their drinking back in their room. One went quiet but the other, with a bottle of alcohol in his hand became argumentative, Our son went back to room to avoid confrontation. He searched for a number to call, none near phone. I had the number on A4 checkin sheet in my room. Gent staying above our room said noise had been going all week. Apartment was ok. Stayed twice before with no issues. Even if room had double glazing would still have been noisy. Spoke to gent at reception next morning, he said he would follow it up. I rang later after getting home and specifically asked for General Manager to call me to discuss what actions they had taken . I rang her some 4 business days later to be told it was the the Business Owner I had spoken to in the morning and she believed it had been dealt with. I explained to the receptionist that if I was not contacted by General Manager this review would be submitted. We like the area, have family nearby and are involved with racing, however it is very doubtful that we would be back and risk another night like that.

Dear JekAus33, Thank you for your review. We do wish all of our guests a pleasant stay and again, we apologise for your son not being able to sleep. As discussed, we were unaware of the concerns at the time. We had provided you upon check in, our welcome letter that has a contact number for our Onsite Manager for urgent or emergency assistance. There is also a number on the Front Door as well as a phone message if you call the hotel internally from the room as well as externally from a mobile or landline. If we had have been made aware of the matter at the time, we would have investigated and followed up ASAP to rectify the situation. We only learned of your concerns upon your departure at 10AM. At this point we could only apologise. Kind Regards,

I recently stayed at The Quest Moonee Valley for business and during my stay I had to self isolate for 14 days. The staff were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much. They delivered food to my room, even making special trips to the supermarket or local cafe to pick up items for me. I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond. Special mention to Melanie & Vincent for dropping if daily coffees, meals and checking in to make sure I was ok. I would definitely recommend this hotel and the location is great with Mooner Valley racecourse across the road and lots of great choice for food.

Location, room size and helpful, friendly staff. They were very accommodating with helping our young family find an appropriate room and make it more comfortable. Not far from beautiful Queens Park for a pleasant walk and plenty of dining options nearby.
