Beautiful gardens and overall complex. Cozy and plush. Tried the Lodge Bar food but underwhelmed. The menu looked exciting but the food ( octopus and burger) was overdone so not executed well. Breakfast buffet was a different story as it had a huge variety to choose from and the quality was very good. We stayed in a room with two Queen beds. The room was nice, bed very comfy and generally well appointed. Small details such as dusty behind/beside bed were rectified on request and housekeeping were very responsive. The reception staff were friendly and congenial and they made check-in and check-out a breeze.

Our family group stayed at the Yarra Valley Lodge overnight when attending a wedding nearby. It appears grand on arrival, but is only just going from a customer service perspective. We had 3 rooms, each with 4 guests. There was only 2 towels and 1 face washer per room, which is not enough for 2 people, let alone for. We were held up getting into one room because a card payment had declined but reception staff didn’t want to tell us that, so they kept saying the room wasn’t ready. We asked more than an hour for additional towels, and had to go back to reception and ask again to actually get any. We had to ask for additional room keys as well. This is all really simple stuff to get right but impacted our stay (we were almost late for the wedding despite having left ourselves heaps of time!). Buffet breakfast was good, but staff seemed flustered and weren’t that friendly or helpful.
It could be a lovely place to stay with a few tweaks and attention yo detail.

Stayed at the hotel for the second time in 3 months. Staff were fantastic (especially Sean in the Lodge Bar), and the buffet Brekky did the job. Had a burger in the Lodge Bar which was great, but asked if they could add an egg and some bacon (offering to pay extra of course) and was advised the chef was unable to do that. I’m sure the grill was hot, and that was a tad disappointing. The bed was great, the bathroom could do with a make over, and as much as we tried to cool the room down a little, on both stays the room was too hot. We didn’t care about not having a minibar, or bottled water. Water from the tap was cold and delicious (like all Victorian Water is). May I suggest some training for your staff in Customer Recognition, especially with the Priority Rewards Programme and returning guests. It would have been nice to have heard “Welcome Back Again”, and a reminder to what Discounts and Amenities were available to Rewards Members. Just my thoughts, and hope you accept my constructive criticism. Stay safe!

We were very impressed with the following:
The room was spotless and huge. Everything was in its place and the room was bright airy and fresh.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone smiles and greets you. They made us feel very welcome. Always polite and eager to help. Quite a rarity these days.
The breakfast was excellent. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked and presented. I especially loved the scrambled eggs and the bacon. So tasty! Compliments to the chef (s).
Our stay at the Yarra Valley Lodge was stress free. The check-in process was easy and car park to lift to room was uncomplicated and quick. You couldn’t get lost there if you tried. Everything was very logically set out.
The hotel and its surrounds has such a tranquil ambience. One hardly heard the neighbours or cars etc. The only time this tranquility was disturbed was on early Friday morning when a groundskeeper decided to use his very loud blower at around 7 am. This is the only negative I can think of.
All in all our stay at the Yarra Valley Lodge was way beyond our expectations. It has a luxurious country club atmosphere with sterling quality staff, accommodation, food and amenities. A credit to management and the floor staff.
We will definitely return in the near future.

We booked a Taste of the Yarra Valley package at this hotel for a weekend away. It is on the edge of the Yarra Valley in Chirnside Park but still feels like a world away from Melbourne.
The hotel was spacious and set overlooking a golf course with lots of kangaroos. The room was comfortable but is starting to show signs of dating with visible wear and tear to the wooden units.
We received a cheese platter and bottle of local red wine on arrival although we had to phone up to ask where it was and then phone back for plates and knives as these had been forgotten.
We had a massage in the on-site spa which was relaxing and enjoyable. There was an indoor swimming pool but this was closed for renovations (although it was full of water with nothing happening).
Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The quality and presentation of the food was great and definitely exceeded our expectations. You have to book a reservation for dinner so it’s worth doing that prior to arriving if you want a specific time.
Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with plenty of choice although not of the same standard as dinner.
If you’re looking for a weekend away right in the Yarra valley then you may be better staying somewhere else as it’s not really in the Yarra valley, just close to it. That said it’s an easy drive to the vineyards and wineries.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, just one point to note is that payment is taken when you check in and then you pay any extras separately when you check out rather than just paying the total bill at the end.

We are a family of five and we booked two rooms to stay for couple of nights in Yarra Valley Lodge which was serene and quiet and a good relaxing spot for families too! The bar and bella restaurant in the lodge were good (but a bit pricey). However, if you don't want to go to the restaurant all the time, there are eateries and a shopping centre which are only around 4 to 5 kms from the lodge.
We booked for a family mystery picnic on the third day through amazingco which started from a nearby place and hence it worked out well for us!

Beautiful entrance to the property complete with kangaroos on the impressive golf course and our arrival to reception through perfectly manicured gardens and lawns. Already excited about our upcoming 3 night stay. Checkin quick and easy and directed to car park and room location. We stayed in the Camelia Suite which was a 1 bedroom apartment which seemed to go on forever complete with a large bedroom, spacious lounge/dining, bathroom with a separate toilet. Everything was there to make our stay as comfortable as it could possibly be. Toiletries, plentiful towels, tea, coffee etc and lovely views over the gardens and golf course from our balcony. We tried to book into Bella Restaurant on our first night but it was closed so ate in the lounge bar which was perfectly adequate and enhanced by both the girl working the bar and the waiter. Considering there was a wedding party in the room below us we did not hear a thing and had perfect nights sleeps all three nights. Weather was not exactly kind for our stay but this is where our apartment shone, the perfect place to relax and enjoy this wonderful hotel.

My partner surprised me for a valentines weekend with an early trip to the yarra valley. She splashed on the upgraded suite and booked us into their restaurant Bella for a romantic evening.
Ok - if you think this in the heart of the yarra valley you aren’t even close, you could argue it’s on the edge of the yarra valley but I think they are taking the piss naming it yarra valley lodge.
Hotel is so very tired, somehow due to covid they have removed almost every object in the room save 2 glasses that we were told were multi use, either wine or tea of coffee, we were asked if we wanted a teabag or coffee sachet which were given to us in a paper bag, No cups, no wine glasses.
Not even a bottle of water in the fridge. Every bit of furniture has some form of mark on it, curtains belong to the 1980’s. We moved rooms to get a view - we upgraded from a view of the car park to a view of some lawn. Strange that we still have no view of their golf course or the yarra valley.
Staff are good and did give us a credit.
The restaurant Bella, food was inedible. Well to be fair 2 dishes were just ok, but 2 went back to the kitchen, we didn’t want replacements as we felt that whomever cooked it shouldn’t be let near food again. Suggestion to
Management - sack you chef.
Sorry but the overall experience was so bad it has created a meaningful memory for us, so at least we have had a small win in the belly laughter we will share every time we hear the word Yarra Valley Lodge 😂

We have travelled from Sydney to Healesville to visit family for Christmas and this is a gem, decided to stay here for a night as its quiet and the rates were excellent, Luxury King $161 room only, breakfast buffet $24 after Rydges discount.
There are kangaroo's on the gold course, wow.
Staff and service are excellent. Well worth a try, we will return indeed.

We stayed one night at the Yarra Valley Lodge and I have to say it was a good night stay. The room was spacious and clean, although the pressure of the shower could be better. It was slow and we did not enjoy bathing using the shower. Fortunately, we had a good view of the golf course with kangaroos lazing around. It was an amazing view! Breakfast spread was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the different types of breakfast selection. This hotel should be considered as a 4-star hotel but we were disappointed that there weren't any bedroom slippers provided.

Dear Jason and Jenni
Thank you for your message, I hope you are having a lovely weekend. There is no pool at the Yarra Valley Lodge. The Heritage Retreat & Day Spa has a pool which is currently closed for renovations.

Hello,
Thanks for your message, no our meat is not halal.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your message. No this is definitely not normal in the way multiple nights stays should occur. Please be assured I have followed up with our front desk team about this and advised to ensure our guests don't encounter this issue. Many thanks, Kate.
There is a sport building but all about the golf and the pool. No gym as such
We were on the ground floor so you walked outside from the room to a grass area beside the golf course so I wouldn't think smoking there would be a problem
