When we arrived, we were just the only guest in the resort so the attention was all on us. The rooms were ok, we were transferred immediately upon seeing that our shower was not working. The double bed was comfortable and generous with the pillows (a big plus for us) Basic items were also provided like towels, soap, toothpaste and...

Three week business trip. Stayed at Cattleya Room; I think it's quite small it's price. Although, rooms are maintained clean all the time. Breakfast are included. Water heaters are available in some rooms. Wifi is terrible though, since internet signal in San Jose, Mindoro is overall terrible. So, not their fault. Beds are not so special. But the sound of...

It was our second work trip to San Jose and we stayed in a different hotel the first time. For this second leg, we decided to experience Villa Paulina Beach Resort & Spa. And we're so happy we made that decision. The rooms may be small but are homey. The beds and pillows are extremely comfy. You walk a few...

This is my 2nd time to eat here. 1st time is with reservation, nothing special with the food . We had diffucult time eating because of the insects attracted to the lights above our dinner table. The hotel's facilities are not fully functional especially during lean season. Menu items are not all available (pizza) . Foods are expensive and not...

1. Location. You definitely won't find it difficult to find the place. It's just a few minutes from the town proper. Along the way, there are a number of signages pointing towards the direction of the resort. 2. Rooms. I loved that I could hear the waves from the room. Very relaxing. Also, the rooms are very spacious, even the...

I wanted a stay in San Jose, but not in the city, for a few peso trike ride you have your own little secure resort. There were other guests, but I almost felt that the place was all just for me. The room was nice, you can hear the waves if you wish but you might need to turn off...

Location: (+) it is located away from the main town, hence more laid back and quiet.. plus it is a beach front property where you can relax :) for net addicts, there's free wifi (-) if you do not have your own car, it is somewhat difficult to find tricycles in this area... you'll have to wait for 10-20 mins...

Upsides: Clean rooms, working A/C and hot and cold shower, friendly and accommodating staff. Unlike the inns and hotels at San Jose town center, Villa Paulina is a quiet place, perfect for those who just want to relax and read a book. It has a great view of the sea. Downsides: Villa Paulina is around 3-4 km away from town...

The rooms were small, but very nicely decorated. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in any of the showers. Also, they didn't supply enough toilet paper. Would it kill them to put an extra roll in the bathroom? Also, our bathtub was clogged and we needed to request extra towels. The location was nice, right on the ocean. The beach...

“Opt for the standard rooms over the suite. They're closer to the beach front. But if you don't want to be lulled to sleep by the sound of waves washing across the shore, then by all means, choose the suite room.”
