Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Royal Hotel has a Nightcap Social lounge that is open only to guests of the hotel. It is a pleasant environment where guests can relax, have a chat and order a drink. It's included in the accommodation charge. As is the practice these days, room rates vary with demand, but rates are around $100 per night.

The Royal Hotel provides convenient access to Tullamarine Airport and Melbourne CBD. The accommodation varies in price according to demand, as is usual these days, but it is normally around $100 per night. The Nightcap Social club is exclusively for hotel guests. The Royal has been rejuvenated recently, it's a pleasant place to stay. By the way, the popular dining room serves good, no-nonsense food that is reasonably priced.

Clean rooms and communal areas
Bathrooms new and clean
Room small with double bed but all we needed. Good soundproof windows as we didn’t hear any traffic or train noise until we actually opened the window.
Friendly staff and easy to get to from train station.

Wow! What a hidden gem. Very welcoming manager & staff. Newly renovated accommodation has given it an upmarket facelift at a budget price. Very handy to public transport and surrounding attractions. Bistro meals were great. Compliments to the chef! Good variety & delicious apple crumble dessert 😋
We definitely stay here again & recommend to others. Thanks for a great weekend 👍🏻

The Royal Hotel underwent a major renovation during the Covid lockdown. The upstairs section of the hotel has been converted into accommodation, under the Skyways banner. The carpets, which were worn and dirty, have been completely replaced. The wall furnishings have been completely updated. In all, the Royal is now much more pleasant a place to eat and drink.

Awsome, a recently renovated, hotel approx 30 minutes outside Melbourne CBD. Spotlessly clean, well priced hotel with very comfortable airconditioned room. Also included a welcome drink, an unexpected suprise. Hotel is only about 150 metres from the railway station. Hotel has excellent bistro for lunch and dinner.

Shared bathroom facilities are also super clean and well maintained.
