Two nights here gave us a chance to local tour the area, accommodation was clean with everything we needed at hand with more to come as a new supermarket will be opened across the road there soon, the regular food outlets were also across the road . our hosts were very helpful
The bed was great, pillows seemed as new, toaster and kettle worked fine,

Generous size room, comfortable king bed and large sofa to sit on, as well as tables and chairs in the room. Outside your door there is another table with 2 chairs, as well as a BBQ area near the pool. Our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived, but the receptionist Sarah went above and beyond to prepare the room for us. The bathroom is huge and everywhere is very clean.
McDonalds, KFC and Woolworths are across the road, but I would highly recommend eating at Tony’s Modern Chinese Restaurant on site, which is very clean, friendly and has delicious generous meals.
Would highly recommend and would love to come back here again.

Pros: Easy to get to, lots of parking on site. Receptionist was lovely, and the Chinese restaurant on site was spot on! Room clean and spacious, very comfortable bed, nice big shower recess. Appreciate the table in the room, for eating but also that I could work. Really appreciated the hairdryer and iron in the room, as well as ample WOODEN hangers!
Cons: lots of tradies stay here, so you might get woken up at 5am as they leave, not all are as quiet as they can be. Also motel is near highway, so expect traffic noise to be loud. Not all the toiletry dispenses were filled, so good thing I brought all my own too.

This hotel for a family room is very basic.
1. Don’t bother trying to watch Netflix don’t work, and asked the receptionist and they gave us a number for management and we couldn’t reach them, every other hotel works fine.
2. Walk into the bathroom the toilet still had urine in it .
3. Me and my friend pulled the 2 single beds out and it wasn’t clean. We found toothpick’s, gum and dust ( everyone else skin particles).
The good things about this hotel parking lots of it , smoking facility outside each room if your a smoker and beds was very cozy and warm.
A note that got me was if you use the dishwashing liquid to wash up might get charged for it. It’s only how I read the note on the sink.
I have stayed a few years ago here not an issue this times yes.

My wife & I and our good friends stayed at the Balan Village Motel on 15/10/2023. We checked in at 4:30pm.
Our room had a very strong bleach smell which almost took my breath & made us cough excessively. Bathroom floor was raised higher than rest of unit and I tripped walking into the bathroom. Lucky, I had good gripping shoes as I could of slipped and fallen. The glass door to glass shower enclosure was hard to open and sticks.
Our friends room was completely unclean, hadn’t been vacuum, the bed was a mess and the sheets had not been changed with new sheets. Health breach. They went back to the reception and owner said he made a mistake with the room number. That was a lie. The new room the bed was normal sized double and they paid for a larger bed. The original room allocated had the larger bed. Their new room had a very strong & disgusting sewerage stench coming from the bathroom & was going through and stinking up the whole unit. My friends had to put a mat over the drain in the bathroom, close the bathroom door, put a towel under the bathroom door to stop the smell, spray the room with deodorant and perfume. The carpet was putrid and filthy, had a lot of filthy stains on it, had not been vacuumed, and not real sure how clean the rest of the place really was. There was a dirty mark on the top cover of the bed. Didn’t think of it at the time but now just wondering if the sheets in either of the units were actually changed or did they just make-up the beds. Maybe should of brought the blue light with to check the sheets.
Both units only had one bowl, one wine glass and one tablespoon but no teaspoons. No extra blankets.
Made a complaint with reception the next morning & requested the owner contact us, still waiting.
I have also reviewed the other accommodation in the surrounding area and there are 9 other accommodation places within 8 minutes of Balan Village Motel with similar or better price & rating. These are Avaleen Lodge Motor Inn, Bomaderry Motor In, Pleasant Way River Lodge, George Bass Motor In, Quest Nowra, Parkhaven, Marriot Park Hotel, The Nowra Motor Inn, Archer Hotel.
One of my friends was sick for 3 days after coming back from staying at this motel which indicates that this hotel is in breach of the health regulations in my opinion. As a result, I have now reported this to the Health Dept.
My recommendation do not stay at this place if you value your health especially since there are plenty of other accommodation places to stay at as stated above.

The accommodation consisted of bathroom sitting room and separate bedroom. Bigger than expected.
Disliked · Air conditioner did not work. Pumping out air not much warmer than the ambient temperature, even though set at maximum temperature.. Room cleanliness was average. A dirty sock behind the bedroom door. A hole in the wall caused by the bedroom door. Unattended reception even though advertised to be open during office hours.

We arrived relatively late in Nowra and were looking for a simple one night stop whilst on a road trip between Adelaide and Sydney. Simple it was. Clean, comfortable room with Wi-Fi and a decent shower and all you need for an overnight stay. There is a chinese restaurant on site which saved us from having to drive back into Nowra for something to eat.

We stayed here overnight and found the hotel room to be well set up, very comfortable bed and clean. We also managed to get a room where it was possible to charge our Tesla overnight. We walked across the road to various shops. The on site restaurant menu looked good but we had already eaten mediocre fish and chips at Gerringong.

Large rooms, with 2 single beds and separate room with Queen beds, which was extremely comfortable. Very nuce sofa and a dining table with 4 chairs. Also outdoor seating area.
Microwave, toaster and kettle, crockery and cutlery. Really liked the bathroom area and the shower was really powerful. They will also do your laundry for $10 a load.
Chinese restaurant on site which also does takeaway. Supermarket and other stores, including fast food places, across the road.
The motel has an outdoor pool, which we didn't use.

Great location with a Chinese Restaurant on site. Also in walking distance of many other eateries, fast food if so desired. We ended up ordering from the restaurant and sitting outside our room with a glass of wine. There is a barbecue, pool and a laundry. The room was comfortable and fully fulfilled our needs. Balan Village Motel is on the outskirts of NOWRA but it proved a bonus, especially when we tried to get our bearings around NOWRA the next day.
