Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room was clean. However there was no microwave and no plates or cutlery. The bathroom needs a working exhaust fan.
The queen bed had only two pillows with one extra in the cupboard. The pillows were very flat and each person really needed two pillows. It was quite hot and we would have loved to sit by the pool but there was no shade. However we heard no road noise and enjoyed pleasant sleep.

I stayed here for two nights during a visit to Melbourne. Check-in was quick and, despite arriving an hour earlier than expected, my room was ready. The lad at the desk was very helpful in pointing me in the direction of the best railway station to catch the train into the city (Blackburn, a 20 minute walk - It is a manned station). My room was at the back of the complex and very comfortable and quiet. Biscuits were provided to enjoy with my cup of tea. The only issue was with the free WiFi. It kept dropping out, so I had to resort to using my own WiFi. The girl at the desk tried to sort it out, but the signal would only work with the door open.

Highly recommend this motel. We had a very friendly, warm greeting on arrival, and also when we departed. An older motel but spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, hot shower and most importantly, quiet. Very affordable price. What more can you ask for!

Staff help[ful and friendly. Moved us to an apartment at our request, but unfortunately, this was dated and not the cleanest. Looked as though it had been shut up for a while. The cost didn't reflect the apartment facilities. The hob in the apartment did not operate properly. The fridge leaked. The shower was over the bath. Cleaning staff did not fully service the unit, failing to replace towels. However, the site was close to transport facilities to Melbourne and the parking was good.

I have stayed here on a few occasions and every time it's been pleasant, Rooms are cleaned well a little dated but still nice to stay, beds are comfortable. Only request I'd like to make is maybe an extra pillow or 2 in the rooms. Will defiantly be back

Stayed here for the convenience to the area and the room was decent. We ordered breakfast and it came on time and was quite good.

The staff that we did talk to were friendly and welcoming which is always a good sign.

The standard room was relative small as we needed a portacot which used up space.

Main downside was that the curtains kept covering the heater vent so continually had to tuck the curtains away from the heater. Also small little noises that you hear at night such as the fridge, heater, plumping, which is a bit annoying if you are light sleeper, though, nothing that ear plugs can not sort out though.

The staff is very kind but the motel itself is not that special: they do not make the bed or clean and furniture is rather old. The wifi is a nightmare, you have to pay extra for basically having no service. The laundry room looks like a horror environment. Breakfast is good and custom and delivered directly to your room at the time you request. Or better say that it would be delivered at that time, when the person in charge does not wake up late and consequently make you go to work with no food. A disaster.

Response from annapC9341NY, Manager at Nunawading Motor Inn
Responded 29 Dec 2015
Thank you Mr Pastoemerlo for your review. When you made your booking, the room you chose was a Classic 7 Day Weekly with limited cleaning service, meaning that you would receive fresh towels and rubbish removed daily for you. We offer that rate as it is cheaper than having your room serviced daily. The options are available to view when making the booking. Our breakfast is served to your room and I believe that there was a request to deliver and have a night tray supplied to your room the night before as you would be leaving early some mornings. This was also adhered to. In relation to times for breakfast served, the times on the breakfast menu was ticked off for the times specified 6.45 - 7.00, 7.00 - 7.15 etc, a box was ticked off and breakfast delivered at that time. No mention was ever made to us at the reception that your breakfast was ever late. Our guest laundry is on the premises, we have one dryer and one washing machine. We do not charge for our guest to use this facility - so I do not understand why you say ' it is a horror environment '. We do not have control how our guest sort wash and dry their own clothes. The Nunawading motor inn has been operating for 36 years, it is a family run motel and we strive on providing the best in service and affordability to our guest. The Management Gino & Anna Pelosi

This was my first stay at Nunawading motor inn and I was thoroughly impressed.the rooms were well appointed, they had thought of everything!! very spacious and spotlessly clean rooms.
The bed was very comfortable and the linen of highest quality.
I was surprised at just how quiet the rooms were and couldn't hear a sound all night.
The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful.
Prices are very reasonable ,which is fantastic value considering the very high quality to their rooms.
The location is perfect, close to train, buses,Eastlink. there are , many great shopping centres close by and .numerous excellent restaurants are walking distance or a few minutes drive away.
I will definetly be back very soon and will highly recommend to my friends.
Thanks for a great stay.

I am travelling thru and stayed here, room great, woman on desk nice and pleasant, tv didn't pick up channel 9, breakfast was overpriced asked for a steak with eggs and hash brown was charged 16 dollars the food was over cooked and the cooked tomato was slightly warm, I accidentally locked my key in my room and they want me to hand over $20 to get a key to open my room it's criminal, it seems as though the hotel is also used as a place to bring back the women of the night as I saw a few coming and going, won't ever stay here again, and will be letting my travel industry friend black flag it

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, managers were very friendly, the apartment was clean and comfortable, and spacious enough for our family of 4. The kitchenette was well appointed. The complex was very quiet, the pool and outdoor BBQ area were looking a little worse for wear....
