This was our second visit to Ohau and it did not disappoint! As usual the food was delicious, you must ops for the whole package of dinner, bed & breakfast. Such good value!! Staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The hot tubs are great and we loved the shot ski (not so much the next morning) overall we love...

Ohau we have the best staff and lovely that this is recognised by everyone and our chefs are never sick of hearing how delicious the food is either. Thank you for writing. We look forward to seeing you back for a 3rd visit.

We stayed one night for the next day snowboarding. They have a discounted all day chairlift for lodge guest too. The location is great and stunning view of lake Ohau. The room is expensive for its facilities but nice and tidy. Just the shower pressure water is quite weak, needed to fix! (Room25) My room is far away from the...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and for the recommendation. Glad you enjoyed the location, the ping pong, the spas and the amazing view of the stars from there, the breakfast and the communal dining. We find that almost always guests enjoy being seated with others. We will check on that water pressure in your room...

Just got back from a 2 week trip to NZ and spent the vast majority of it at the Lake Ohau Lodge. Louise and the staff were wonderful - they helped our shy 9/10 year-old daughter meet and become friends with many of the other children staying there. If you are looking for a place to "get away from it...

It was so lovely to have you to stay and a real treat for us to have you here for so long. We really hope that you can make it back next year. Warmest regards Louise

We were so impressed with Lake Ohau Lodge. The room was clean and tidy, staff were friendly, the kitchen was very accommodating with food intolerances and the food itself was delicious! It was great to meet other guests through the communal dining approach and would have been quite happy to lounge in front of the fire all morning. Thanks for...

Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your review! 3 boys IPA and Scotts Golden Ale are the favourites and we reckon we have one of the best views of any bar anywhere to be sampling them. I'm so glad it was a special holiday for you.

This was our third family trip to Lake Ohau Lodge during winter and our experience was as good as the last two times. I want to come back in summer and ride some of the A2O cycle trail! Louise and Mike and the team make you feel so welcome and relaxed - the atmosphere is friendly and the location/ view...

Thank you so much for writing. We love the school holidays and having all these families here. It's just like welcoming old friends, in fact we feel you are our friends! So much fun for there to be so many kids all together. The start to winter has been a bit difficult but thankfully the snowmaking has really provided a...

One of the most beautiful spots in NZ with a simple though stylish lodge. Some rooms have stunning views and certainly from the restaurant absolutely stunning! Quiet place, just everything you need when you want some real NZ without all the packed tourist places. Probably more busy during winter/ski time....

Thank you for writing. We think that we offer something very special and very New Zealand and it is great to hear that you, our guests appreciated it too. It's oh so beautiful here now with the snow down the hills - more would be good right now - but it will come and then the Lodge will not be...

We were staying in a Book-a-Bach property in the Ohau Alpine Village during a very off-peak time of the year (May), so having taken a fantastic drive up Lake Ohau through Lake Ohau Station, we were keen on some lunch on our way back home. We weren't sure of the lodge was open, but it was and I'm so glad...

How lovely of you to take the time to write all that and you just called in for lunch! You did a good job of describing our "high country platter" so thank you. Those that came to Lake Ohau Lodge in April and early May this year were treated to the most stunningly calm and warm days, it really was...

Our group stayed Saturday night recently and we really enjoyed relaxing by the double fireplaces with burning logs, the delicious evening meal and breakfast provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. If the weather is cold there is internal access to the rooms. Our room had a lake view which was great.

Thank you for writing. Nothing beats sitting around a log fire and looking out the window at the surrounding snow capped mountains, other than maybe being in the spa pool with a glass of gluhwein!
