We picked this hotel because of the restaurant on site. I figured that way we could have a nice bottle of wine with dinner and not worry about driving anywhere. We arrived at 8pm, checked in and took a couple minutes to freshen up. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:20 and we were told they close at 8pm. It...

We got a great deal for the price, despite the high season. It was very easy to find, coming from a 2+ hour roadtrip w/kids helps. The staff was kind enough to make us check-in early w/out any hassel which was a real plus! The rooms were very spacious and very clean!! Usually you have snobby people at the front...

We stayed here for one night with our three young children and enjoyed ourselves very much. The heated outdoor pool was a hit with everyone, though you have to ask for the jacuzzi to be turned on (the pool was very warm, though the night was very cold). We loved the mid-week (We arrived Thursday night) ski package and breakfast...

Nice decor and location. The pillows under the sheets were gross. They were stained. Also asked for a new coffee maker and towels. Waited several hours and got the coffee maker but not the sheets. Overall it wasn't bad and I'd stay there again. The cleaniness of the rooms keep it from being rated higher.

Northwoods was perfect for a ski vacation in Big Bear. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, short drive to the slopes. Right at the entrance to town. Kids love the jacuzzi and pool, both heated in winter. Service is excellent and the place is clean!!

-Cheapest I could find ($170/night online) in Big Bear for Christmas. But there appeared to be a lot of other vacancies there once I arrived....Not sure if online was the best way to snag the best deal... -Room at building end - little too much noise of outside door opening and closing throughout night -Elevator noise prominent -Large/clean rooms but...

First of all the rugs and the bathrooms were very dirty. The beds were without complete set of linens and the management fail to provide any upon several requests. The employees at the front desk were rude and reluctant to provide any help or directions. The room service took more than an hour. We had to took down personally the...

Expensive for thin walls. Loud and obnoxious clientele. Not very helpful front desk. The snow was great and the restaurant was very good.
