Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A good location in southern Canberra, excellent rooms attended to by great staff and kept in tip top condition. Whether it be a one night stay or a week, it would be hard to find a better place. We had a Junior Suite for one night and there was everything we needed and more. The full laundry tucked away in the bathroom would be great for anyone having an extended stay and the fully equipped kitchen would just top it off. Undercover parking is a plus, the only drawback being that one has to park off site to book in at reception.

This place is tired and daggy! In need of a full renovation. For almost $200 a night its an absolute disgrace. Dirty an stained carpet, stovetop, mouldy shower, diry lights..the list goes on and on...dark sketchy carpark, dirty balcony, leaking fridge, peeling chairs and tabke, stained lounge.

We had booked & paid via Booking.con but when we turned up for a pre-arranged late check-in we were told they had not received the full payment and insisted on additional payment of $2000 by credit card before allowing access to our room! I forwarded B.com proof of payment by email and the following morning reception admitted their error and agreed to refund to the Credit Card but their bank had difficulty authorizing the transaction. Eventually, after about 6 stressful days it was all resolved. Despite all that the apartment accommodation was spacious and very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly for a 9 day stay over Xmas.

My kids (young teenagers) and I stayed here for two nights over the school holidays. The one bedroom aprtment was very clean and well presented. We paid the surcharge for a third person and unfortunately, a third person was not catered for. We had to request beddinng and then (too late/after Reception had closed), realised we did not have athird towel. No spare bedding was provided in the room. The fold out couch was super lumpy and prety unbearable, luckily my youngest is small and could sleep on the couch itself. Otherwise - it was very warm (so good on two very, very cold nights). It is right over a bus terminal, so would have been slightly loud if you were opening the doors/using the balcony. Close to shops, cafes etc which was convenient. Free parking underneath. Overall, pretty good. I just felt a bit annoyed about being charged $55 extra for a third person and then not actually receiving anything at all for that charge.

I have travelled Australia and the world whilst working for 50 years, I am now retired and with a daughter in Tuggerong. We booked into the Abode apartments in Tuggerong 150 Anketell St Greenway. As my wife is disabled we asked for on booking and were assured of a ground floor and a wheel chair friendly room. We were subsequently issued a room on the fourth floor and I could not get my wife's wheelchair into to tiny bedroom. I was told we would not be moved so I had to manually manoeuvre her bed for access. The toilet seat is not affixed and after calling a maintainer several times I have given up and my wife I are now forced to sit on the porcelain toilet bowl. The TV has Google Cast, or so its advertised and its as easy as 1, 2 3 to connect. Four maintainers/staff members have tried to connect and have now just given up. So no Chrome Cast but I do have free to air but no access to the programs my wife and I like to watch. We have now been her 48 hours and our room has not been cleaned. Everywhere else I have ever stayed, unless I have indicated Do Not Disturb, the bed has been mad or changed regularly, the towels changed and the bathroom and toilet cleaned. Tea and coffee and also topped up. Well the bin was actually emptied, but rubbish that had fallen out was still left on the floor.

Great location next to a shopping centre. The appartment was clean and comfortable. The bedroom was minute and getting around the bed to the cupboard was tight. Bathroom and shower pressure excellent. Kitchen had everything you need. Wifi was fine . Reception not the friendliest but did the job. Parking was underneath the building, plenty of it and free. We would happily stay there again.

Very clean and modern accommodation. Our 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious with king beds in each room. Shopping centre, cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance. There is secure paid parking in the basement. It was perfect for our family weekend getaway.

Having family on the south side we chose Tuggeranong Abode as it is close to where we needed to go. We arrived at 17:45pm, reception closes at 18:00. Reception had already closed when we arrived therefore we had to call the 1300 number to be able to access our room card. The apartment complex is in a great location - close to public transport (if required), shopping mall across the road with cafes / sports clubs in close proximity. Underground secure car park. One room out of the two rooms we had was a little tight to maneuver. No place for bag / luggage aside from the floor. Some luggage holds would have been ideal. Housekeeping came in daily to replenish whatever needed to be replenished, and made the beds - a little added extra we enjoyed.

After reading some reviews I was a bit nervous about staying here. Yes the separate bed room is tight, but I’ve been in similar sized rooms and paid much more. If you have need for more than about 40cm around the bed then you won’t like it. Once out of the bedroom, the living area is spacious, 2.5 seat sofa, 2 lounge seats, side table, plus a small meals table with 2 chairs. With space to move. Electric stove top, electric oven, dish-drawer store dish washer, and the large fridge freezer in the cupboard. Down near the entry is a bathroom, although it does not have a bath, it does have a large shower, toilet, and usual hand basin with mirrored cupboards to store your toiletries in. Behind the other doors in here are the washer, dryer, and wash trough. Laundry liquid, washing liquid, and dish washer powder were replenished daily. Level one seem to have a few rooms with a terrace, which I found a great place to eat and relax.

We have visited for years to Canberra to visit family. We have stayed at Woden Abode and just loved it. Staff friendly and nothing a problem. This December we decided to use Tuggeranong Abode. Big mistake. The staff are off handed and look bored. We asked for towels as none left. Went to reception the gentle,an at reception couldn’t give us fresh towels..He had no key to linen. We walked across the road and had to buy our own towels! What was advertised as a junior suite was a joke. The bed was shoved up against a window and you had to crawl across the bed to get out. The room between and robe was minute. You couldn’t have two standing in there at once! The advertised extra tv stations, had none. We would never recommend this Abode from staff to room size.We sure would recommend their Woden Hotel. Not this place. The staff need a good lesson in manners and even looking interested.
