"A Perfect Stay in Positano!"
Our experience at this beautiful B&B in Positano was absolutely unforgettable! The atmosphere was charming, serene, and truly captured the essence of the Amalfi Coast. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and offered breathtaking views.

What made our stay even more special was the exceptional service. The host went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable, offering great recommendations for local dining and activities. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home.

If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning views and outstanding service, this is the place to be. Highly recommended—we can’t wait to return!

Our first time in Italy and I cannot say enough about this beautiful location and our host Amalia. The view from our terrace room was literally breathtaking , the room is spotless with the added addition of a full kitchen. We stayed here with friends who occupied the remaining other two rooms which was so much fun. Amalia's breakfast each morning was nothing short of spectacular ( and those croissants ).
Each room's refrigerator was stocked with local meats , fruits , breads, cheese, juice water, coffee and condiments that all six of us enjoyed one night on our huge terrace, overlooking the amazing view of the Amalfi Coast . Oh and yes some wine ( also included)
Do not hesitate to stay here and give Amalia a great big hug from the six-five /
six eight crew.

This is the most enchanting place to stay not only because of the location nestled high above Positano but because of the charm and warmth of the rooms and the generosity of the proprietress, Amelia. The views in each direction from this property are stunning and experiencing them from the patios off of each room makes the experience even more incredible. Each morning we were offered delicious made-to-order breakfast made by the amazing Lucia followed by daily cleaning and re-stocking of the refrigerator with fresh-picked grapes, oranges and figs from the garden and delicious meats and cheeses. I read of these spectacular offerings in the reviews before booking and found every generosity to be exactly as described and beyond. Amelia is a warm, witty and generous soul and I can’t wait to visit her and her special Airbnb again very soon.

High above Positano is a little piece of heaven on Earth! We have stayed in countless bed and breakfast properties and nothing has compared to this experience! Our Villa, Blue Superior, was impeccable and beyond gorgeous-- with expansive private patios carrying views of the mountainside and sea that are the definition of breath-taking!

Now our host! Amalia is a true delight.
She is a passionate steward of this beautiful property and gardens. Our breakfasts were simply over-the-top ...fresh and local cheeses, tomatoes, grilled vegetables, fresh eggs, meats and pastry. Yum!

Located right on the Path of the Gods, you will take the mini-bus from the town center must be able to walk some stairs to get home. But don't worry, Amalia will arange for porters to carry your bags. Home will feel like a respite in paradise.

We made a good friend in Amalia and we can't wait to visit again!

I’m from South Carolina where we pride ourselves on being hospitable! Amalia’s hospitality was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced! She was helpful in every way and spoiled us all week long. Her breakfast she made each day was only made with the freshest ingredients and mostly from her garden! She helped us with dinner reservations the first night at a beautiful restaurant just steps from our villa that had an incredible view. She lined up a walking tour of Positano for us with the most delightful guide named, Lucy! We needed a driver one day so her friend, Alfonzo, drove us to our destination. Her son, Fabio, carried two 50 pound suitcases and a back pack a quarter of a mile from the parking spot to our Villa (up flights of stairs) all at one time!!! Amalia checked in on us throughout the stay to be sure we had everything we needed. If you want to do more than see this area and truly experience the way of life, this is the place for you! We were sad to leave and already miss the incredible view from our Villa, and, Amalia, who now feels like family to us!

My partner and I stayed here just after we got engaged and it was the most perfect and idyllic place you could possibly imagine. We stayed in the Blue Room, which has its own private terrace with views from Positano to Praiano. The start of the walk of the gods to Praiano is mere metres away from your front door.

Our host, Amalia, was so friendly and welcoming. She took care of us as though we were family. She is such a beautiful motherly figure who made us so welcome, as though we were long lost family.

Amalia's communication is second to none and each morning she made us the most incredible breakfast's you could ever hope for. Picked fresh from her garden and from local suppliers of the most incredible Mozzarella, eggs and vegetables. She even fresh baked croissant's. This alone is worth it.

The views are the most breathtaking in the entire world and whilst it is a little out of the main town centre it does not at all detract from the experience, if anything it adds to it as you have such a unique perspective of the entire coast with some of the best restaurants on the entire coast right at your doorstop.

Honestly this was the highlight of a month long trip in Italy and have already recommended it to friends.

If you are comfortable riding a scooter I can highly recommend this as a mode of transport as you can see the entire Amalfi coast in one day and park just near her property, and avoid the busy busses and crowds and just go at your own pace.

I was nervous booking initially being a little out of town, but all of the incredible reviews sold me and they were not wrong.

If you can, book here and you wont regret. You will see the greatest views you have ever seen in your life and will fall in love with the coast and Amalia just as we did.

We dream of it daily, and just wish to be back there.

We had the most wonderful stay in Villa Antica Macina. Amalia was the best host I’ve ever experienced and she made it an unforgettable stay. Her homemade breakfasts were incredible and used fresh ingredients straight from the garden and have been unmatched in the rest of our trip around Italy. Amalia gave us lots of information about what to do around the Amalfi coast and gave great recommendations on restaurants. The location itself is perfect if you are planning on walking the path of the gods as it’s right on your doorstep and will give you incredible views of Positano.

If anyone is planning on visiting Amalfi Coast then this is a must stay! I can’t recommend it enough!

Thank you Amalia

Love

Francesca and Alex

We felt fortunate to spend a few days at the Villa Antica Mancina B&B and truly enjoyed our stay. Amalia provided exceptional service in checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed and more. The breakfasts she made to order each day were delicious - with local, fresh foods and ingredients. The view was spectacular, even despite some rainy and cloudy weather which was unusual for the time of year. We loved the location and enjoyed walking down the 1700 steps to Positano and walking along the nearby Path of the Gods too. We would definitely recommend and hope to return again!

9 years after discovering this place the first time, my family and I made it back and it was still, to date, the most magical and unforgettable stay we have ever been to. Amalia is the best hosts of any bed and breakfast, period. As for the home, let the pictures speak for themselves. Amalia’s place is multiple generations with 15th century building quality and accents. A true marvel.

Nochelle, the village, is a quiet and beautiful secret of the Amalfi Coast with a wonderful local market and 2 restaurants with amazing locally-sourced ingredients. There is a bus that conveniently drops you off here from Positano, as Nochelle is a cliff village so no cars drive through it. If you have a car like we did, there is a small parking area, my biggest advice for Amalfi Coast travel in a SMALL CAR. Think like a Toyota Corolla is as big as you want.

I cannot express enough that if you are fortunate to get a reservation with Amalia at Villa Antica Macina B&B, you will not regret it. In fact, if you are like us, You’ll think back on it for almost a decade waiting for the day you can finally return.

We recently had the opportunity to visit Nocelle, a picturesque and enchanting little Village high above the Amalfi Coast. We stayed at Villa Antica Macina, which was hosted by Amalia. As a hospitality executive, my expectations were high, and our choice of stay succeeded. I cannot express enough appreciation for the level of detail, thoroughness, and comfort given to us. The homely facts and nuances at this quality property exceeded all expectations and ensured our stay in one of Italy's most pristine delivered beyond expectation, and we agreed we would be back soon!

Hi DoxieFam, we just stayed three nights and it was amazing, very memorable, and super homely. Amalia is the host who is hard to say goodbye. Driving to Positano in August will be difficult to enter let alone park. From the villa there is a bus every hour and Nocelle is start/end of the line. This can be crowded but definitely less stress. We went thinking to drive but left the car parked at Nocelle the entire time. The least stress, but most work, is take the steps up to Nocelle although pack plenty of water in the heat! We managed it in a little over thirty minutes at sunset, which was lovely but sweaty. The sign posts suggest a much more leisurely 1.5hr hike. Have fun!

I do not speak Spanish but, I believe the question is, whether or not there is bus transportation as they are traveling without a vehicle and have suitcases. The answer is Yes. You can get on the bus to Nocelle at Positano city centre. It will take you to Villa Antica's parking lot. I believe it is the last stop. Just confirm with the driver that the bus is going to Nocelle. Amalia will take over from there and will get you and your suitcases to the unit. Enjoy.
