Comfy beds and these cabins are situated so close to the beach - you can actually hear the waves! We found the ensuite very small (for a family of 4) and it would have been nice to have bedside tables next to the main bed. Also, it would be handy to have a BBQ area near the Sand Dune cabins. Attended a beautiful outdoor chapel and function centre onsite for a wedding.

Hi Roast Lover. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us here at Tiona. It is magical to lay in bed & hear the waves crashing on the beach from our beachside south cabins that are located just beneath the sand dunes of 7 mile beach. Thank you for your feedback on your cabin, we are consistently striving to do our best to suit what our guests have given us in their feedback comments. Tiona weddings are simply divine, another reason we are so popular. We hope to welcome you back for another holiday in the near future...Thx Team Tiona

Spent a week here with the family in our camper trailer. The location between Seven Mile Beach and Wallis Lake is great for walking access to both beach and lake. Sunrises over the beach and sunsets over the lake were beautiful. Amenities were clean and staff attended to them a few times each day. The office staff were helpful and the park provided free stand up paddleboard sessions each afternoon - great for the kids. Only 15 mins from Forster was good for getting groceries etc. Will be back for sure.

Right from the booking process, the staff were faultless and we were so looking forward to our stay. But....we had no idea that the glamping tents (and in fact the whole park) is literally located right on a major road that has very heavy traffic that only dies down in the wee hours. The tents themselves are absolutely fantastic, so well equipped, lovely linen, furnishings and a deck amongst the trees that should be peaceful and lovely to enjoy, however made impossible by the constant heavy traffic noise. The other issue with the glamping tents is that there are very bright led lights at the front and sides of all of the tents that illuminate the entire tent at night until morning, as there are only sheer curtains offering absolutely no blockout at all. Nightly rate was very expensive @$360/nt. Although lovely, if you are light or noise sensitive, I would recommend you look elsewhere.

Extremely disappointed with our stay here the location is great but this park was a big let down Considering it was our anniversary and daughters birthday it was hard to celebrate in a cabin that smelled like mould and I don’t mean a little mould in the bathroom I’m talking mould throughout the cabin that hits you in the face when you enter the cabin. We thought maybe because cabin has been locked up so we opened all the windows only to find when we left for an hour and came back it was there again stronger than ever . Beside the bed stunk of mould and to top it of there was actually a container of moisture absorber on top of a cupboard in the kitchen so obviously the staff know about it because I find it extremely hard to believe no one including cleaning staff haven’t smelled it. There’s no visible signs but I know what mould smells like and it’s there somewhere to smell that strong .
I had replied on a text from Lastminute asking if I was happy with our stay I said no the cabin smelt like mould they replied with a text did I want someone to come and re deodorise the cabin , due to poor wifi or reception my last text saying I don’t think that would work went through so I figured someone would come and check it out but no not one staff member came extremely poor management .
Then as making my kids beds I could smell dust really strong smell of dust then I realised it was the blankets that smelled like they sat in an old dusty cupboard for years .that was also mentioned in the text, I put them outside the cabin and they stayed there the whole time we were there 5 nights!
Not one person even staff walking past came and took them . If I left them inside it would have set my husband’s asthma off and I couldn’t handle the smell even the day we left they still stunk. The curtains in the kitchen were brown I ended up hand washing them the windows were filthy including the screens . The lounge was disgusting we never sat on it and the dining table was terrible . We have never had we had a smelly cabin like this . And upon leaving I mentioned it to the staff and they didn’t seem to fussed . The sight of whales and dolphins were the only enjoyment we got from this place

We were really looking forward to staying here on the beach side but we were given a terrible site for our van as it literally backed right onto an extremely noisy busy main road to Forster! Our van literally shock every time a truck sped by! The only plus was the lovely beach you could walk to. Across the road on the Lake side there is a large function room and area where Weddings, Parties etc are booked very close to the campers there. On our first night we could hear load music coming from this venue and it went on until after 11pm and we we told of the 10pm curfew about any noise? l think the Owners are only interested in the hiring out this venue and don,t seem to care about the other campers.

Hi Chris & Jenny..Thankyou for your review, all of our guest feedback is very important to us. All of our guests are important to us whether they are here for a " little getaway " or coming for a wedding. We are a wedding venue, one of the best on the mid north coast. That is advertised on all of our social media sites & website. You are correct we do have a noise restriction policy from 10pm within the park, the Pavilion being seperate to the park they are licensed until 11pm on weekend nights. We do apologize for the wedding event disturbing you. We would love for you all to come back & visit us. Thx Team Tiona

My husband and I stayed at Tiona Holiday Park 2 weeks ago. We had booked a Sand Dune Family Cabin and were kindly upgraded to a Cabin with a Spa as well as offered a later Check out. The lady at reception was extremely friendly and we really appreciated the upgrade. Overall at this stage the cabins are a bit tired with regards to furniture but all is kept very clean and everything is still in great working order. Having been there I would return but if I stayed more than one night I would prefer to stay in one of the Beach cabins more closely located to the beach and further away from the road. The main road runs through the resort. One side of the resort is the Lake Side and the other side the Beach side. The park is currently undergoing some refurbishment so it will be even nicer and more modern in the future.

We had 3 nights booked to camp at Tiona, when our van broke, in the middle of a massive storm. After not being able to fix our van, there was 1 room left for 1 night only, which I booked. Then, reception/management, went above and beyond, and moved our monies paid for our campsite over to cover the 1 night accommodation, and allowed us to keep our van in the campsite until we could get it out to get fixed. So whilst our time there ended up being short lived, the compassion showed in a difficult situation to us (and i was drenched, looked like I had jumped in the ocean!) was 10/10. Whilst we had to leave to get our van fixed, our friends stayed behind and said it was an amazing place to stay.

This truly is very kind. Thank you for thanking us. We understand not everything goes to plan when going away and we endeavour to do anything we can to try to make it an enjoyable stay for you. We were sad to see that you did leave early, but we hope to welcome you back soon. We have so much to offer a family like yours, with 7 mile beach so picturesque to watch the dolphins playing at sunrise, and our shallow lake perfect for the kids to enjoy a dip at sunset. Take care! - Christine from Tiona

Big thank you to Vicki and the team who on a busy Easter weekend moved people around to get us a cabin for the three nights when our other accommodation fell through. Thought we were going to have to drive all the way back 4 hours as we had our two dogs either us. The communication was fantastic with texts from reception about what’s on etc. Spoilt for choice with lake and beach on your doorstep. So nice to have a park that welcomes pets and people without the big deal!! Love ❤️ the balcony on the unit!!! Great cabin, great customer service, top spot !!!

What we loved- beautiful beautiful spot. Being spoilt with a lake on one side and a beach on the other side of the road, what more could you need. It’s clear the new owner is putting a lot into the park. The live music! We were very lucky to happen to have two different live bands play while we were there. From 4 to 7 we relaxed on the lawn overlooking the lake, listening and dancing to fabulous music while our daughter jumped on a jumping castle one night, or got temporary tattoos the other night! It was wonderful.
What we didn’t like- we (and it seems many others ) did not get the camp site we requested, it wasn’t even on the side we requested. We asked for a site on the beach side, instead we were given a very small, VERY muddy site on the lake side. It was clearly the worst spot as all others had a grassy patch. It wasn’t flat.
It was a terrible spot for our set up. We couldn’t keep the mud out of our van and the van sunk into the soft mud on the first night, so we were not quite vertical sleeping anymore!
When I asked about it, we were told you (not so politely) we were never guaranteed our requested site. Because of trees falling, burst pipes etc, you might be moved ... I said really? How often does that happen? I was then told ‘well also if a customer has a huge tent and needs a larger site, that can also get you moved, it’s in the fine print’ We made out booking over the phone and were not told our site was not secure. That is unacceptable to us as we needed a larger site for our campervan and as much as we loved the park, not knowing where we will be placed and get a muddy patch again, we won’t be back to this park sadly.

Had my wedding at The green cathedral and Reception at the Tiona reception hall. I had majority of my guest stay at the park, all who loved it. It was so convenient all being together, we were able to have big group bbq dinners together in the park, the bridesmaids and groomsman all got to get ready almost next to each other so our photographers wasted no time in travelling back and forth and the whole wedding, and beach are all walking distance. The glamming tents are STUNNING, we will definitely be back to stay in summer. Kelly the events manager was an absolute dream to work with, and Vicky at reception was so helpful and just brightened up our day! The whole park is amazing, we got married in the middle of winter and loved every bit of it so I can only imagine how amazing it will be in summer!
