I had been to Selva Verde 25 years ago, and found the lodge much improved for ecotourism and within our travel budget. September and October are the driest months in the Sarapiqui area, so it only rained at night. The accommodations are spacious, with ceiling...More

We visited Dave & Dave's back in Jan. As mentioned, it isn't too far from Selva Verde. On the day we visited we saw a lot of birds, but you never know what birds will be around on any given day. There is a charge for visiting, it was $40 per person. We decided not to hike the trail to the river, we just enjoyed seeing the birds. Dave is a good host and is very knowledgeable about the local birds, animals and fauna.
