The decor is very outdated. Our family room is beside a road and sound proofing is very poor. Can hear everything on the road and in all the other rooms around us. The tv channel selection is very poor. Not one kids tv channel. No dvd player either so kids can watch a film. Prices in the bar for drinks...

It actually pains me to write this review, as I've had many a memorable stay in the Seven oaks, but the last few have been dissapointing, the rooms really are outdated now and in dire need of a refurb, don't get me wrong the rooms are clean, but wallpaper hanging off the walls threadbare carpets do not exude confidence. Also...

I originally checked into room 304 overlooking the car park.I had an awful nights sleep listening to every smokers conversation and drunk person sing their way home. I complained the next morning and was moved to 229 further into the hotel. Little did I realise its right next to a function room so I am currently being treated to booming...

The reception are was very grand and the receptionist was only lovely.....i think if we asked for the moon she would have obliged. We stayed in the Walsh Suite, complete with flowers, chocolates and champagne. The suite itself is lovely although very dated...

Had a lovely weekend here in October. The staff were so helpful, friendly and nothing was any problem. We had a beautiful meal on the Friday night and the food was lovely. Then there was the swimming pool and leisure centre. Thank you to everyone involved in organising our stay. We will be back.

Just spent 6 days in the Seven Oaks Hotel in Co. Carlow, Ireland. This was an experience not to be forgotten. From the managers to the cleaners the staff were excellent, friendly, courteous and nothing was too much trouble. There were 50 in our party and not one complaint. One friend was taken to the Medical Centre by the staff...

Wonderful hotel. First class staff and lots of them. Very comfortable rooms and spacious too. Excellent breakfast and town centre location. Did I mention the huge car park given the last item. It might seem a bit old fashioned decor wise (kind of 20s ->30s), but it's in good nick and clean. Adds to the charm really.
