I got confused between an hotel in Kardersteg and an hotel in Zurich! Yes, I paid for a hotel with the same name but 300 km away... stupid, but whatever this doesn't have any relation with the Zur post except that because of my brilliant confusion I didn't have a place to spend that night, so I went to the...

We stayed at Hotel zur Post during our trip hiking through the Alps. We arrived a little later than expected, but received a very warm welcome from Tom. Our room on the second floor had a wall of windows, and a balcony. We were on the church/clock tower side of the hotel - which others mentioned. But it wasn't a...

The hotel is only 116 years old this year. We have room 21 Nice room, older decor, very light as it is a corner with two sets of windows plus a door out to a private balcony. The view up to the mountains is great, and the balcony is large enough for two chairs and a table. Room 31 also...

Spend a week with Team Pöstli. A beautiful hotel, the owners, Peter and Thomas are a delight to talk to. Filippa, Marta in the restaurant and Guido in the kitchen were great fun and most helpful. The food was excellent. Without exception. We stayed on a 7 night half pension package, which was great value. Would return tomorrow if we...

We visited the Hotel zur Post just for dinner and were made very welcome. This is a traditional small Swiss family hotel, with a charming ambiance and friendly staff. The menu was extensive enough but we both opted for the fried fish with pommes frites - or fish and chips to the British. Nicely presented, perfectly cooked, complete with home-made...

The Post has all the qualities that you would expect in a Swiss hotel. Situated in the centre of the village, next to the Protestant Church and a 3 minute walk to the railway station, this chalet-style hotel, built in 1900, epitomises Swiss hospitality. The wooden panelled rooms are cosy, clean and comfortable and whatever side of the building you...

I found this little hotel to be my favorite one while in Switzerland. This is just a simple and clean place with incredibly nice people. The rooms have a nice table and chairs to sit and eat if desired. Separate toilet and shower area inside the room. Very comfortable bed with snugly warm comforter. Breakfast was simple but contained everything...

We stayed three nights at this hotel in an en suite corner room. We had a west facing balcony and windows looking over village houses to the mountains. This a village for summer walking or winter skiing. There are no tourist shops but access to the mountains by cable cars. We had half pension,( dinner, bed and breakfast). The food...

Stayed here two years ago, and was so impressed that I brought some family members this year. The location is superb - right in the village centre, next to the quaint village church, and surrounded by impressive mountain scenery. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the evening meals that were part of the half-board deal were excellent. I...
