I had booked a budget hotel, but things didn't work out there. The bus driver suggested Hotel Astras for a bite to eat while I considered taking the train back to my home town. After talking with the pleasant man behind the desk, and being welcomed to set up my computer and have a drink, I asked about a room....

Very peaceful and relaxing hotel and location with spectacular views and scenery. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel directly linked to the spa centre, a top facility. All aspects of the hotel very good.

Our family spent four nights in this busy hotel in a beautiful Engadin region. The staff were helpful and friendly, the suite comprising a bathroom and small kitchen/living space bookended by two uncramped bedrooms was clean and definitely fit for purpose (although a kettle would've been handy) and the grub very much up to scratch, especially the all-you-can-eat breakfast, a...

We had dinner here twice, for 30CHF each as part of our accommodation at Chasa Sofia. The first night was buffet night. I was very impressed by the vegetarian selection-there were 6 hot dishes! Pasta, risotto, polenta, a deep-fried patty kind of thing, and I can’t even remember what else, but they were good! There were plenty of vegetarian salads,...

We spent three nights at Hotel Astras on half-board and were absolutely pleased with the room and the food! The location is also amazingly convenient with a bus stop, a COOP supermarket and the thermal bath within 1 min walk. The train station is 3 min by bus from the hotel. Our room on the top floor had an amazing...

The hotel really offers great value for your money, the skiing tickets & bath entry being included in the price. The food was excellent (and a lot) and most of the staff were friendly and service efficient. The owner is of the grumpy sort who spends his mornings smoking (!!!) at the hotel reception. The rest of the house is...

We stayed at Hotel Astras on a long weekend holiday. Not only were the staff super friendly (and pretty versed in English), the hotel was located right next to the Bad Engadin (AMAZING spa!), the food was excellent, and the rooms were large and comfortable. Our room came with a balcony and a breathtaking view of the Alps. A wonderfully...

We just came back from 5 days at Hotel Astras and had a wonderful time. We loved: - the location of Hotel Astras, on the main street, right in the middle of town - the fabulous food at Hotel Astras. We chose the half board option and boy, what a great quality and incredible value! The breakfast buffet was varied...
