Staying now at the glass Diamond tree house, amazing, superb, really great place to stay for anniversary, honeymoon or family trip in summer. The hotel is closed, but the tree house and the lake house is open. I love the place and it is RELAXING experience. We had a massage request direct on lake, very very amazing....

One of the best country hotels in Europe waits for you at lake Murten. Each room is unique masterpeace, and the glass treehouse is another unforgetable option. Everything is just superb! I stayed in the room with angels around (small wooden statues on the bed) and I really slept like an angel.... The view from that room on the seceon... More

Every time we have dinner at the Vieux Manoir we feel on holidays. The superb location at the lakeside with beautiful sunsets makes a dinner experience even more sprecial. The fine cuisine prepared by Franz, a well balanced mixture between Asian and European flavour, makes every dining a feast. A big shame that it will close down this October. We... More

From the moment the hotel came into view to the moment we left we were pampered. The staff in all departments are so well trained so precise and so helpful. they remembered who we were and our preferences, nothing was too much trouble for them. At dinner taken on the terrace one evening the most amazing wind blew up. Within... More

We had the confirmation lunch for our daughter with 22 people at the Hotel Vieux Manoir and we would not return for a function for business or private. The location is spectacular and the food was very good, but we were greatly disappointed by the organization of the event. Below some examples on why we would next time go to... More

The historic buildings are constantly being upgraded but the hotel never loses its great charm. There is a plethora of staff--this is a classy establishment--and guests are treated with dignity and care. Special touches include turn down service, a superb breakfast with the option of having it in the room, rooms with views of the lake, several styles of accommodation.... More

If you want a tranquil rest away from the crowd and to be looked after with excellent service, then this is the place. It is good value for money in Swiss terms, bearing in mind of course that it is not the cheapest country in Europe! It is a relatively small hotel with the most excellent cuisine and has a... More

We visited the restaurant at this hotel in April 2013. We did not stay at the hotel but we dined in the restaurant and had to opportunity to see the property and the grounds. It is a lovely place and the small town of Morat is well worth a visit. The lake is absolutely beautiful and the town is extremely... More

This is our fourth stay in this special hotel. It's difficult to find a better location if you are after a relaxing break. The grounds of the hotel are amongst the best I've experienced in Switzerland. The rooms are all individually decorated, ours being a suite in an impressive jungle style. It's worth upgrading to a suite if you can... More

each room is individually designed, it is worth the money taking a room on the lake side, very friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful view on Lake Morat where you can swim.
