Welcome to Hotel de la Place, a flagship of Vaud heritage, located in the heart of the vineyards and the village of Corsier, above the city of Vevey. Installed in a beautiful building listed, dating from 1592 and well representative of the Bernese in country of Vaud architecture, it houses a typical Vaud « Café » which kept its beautiful beams of origin, as well as a small warm room with fireplace. Framework for an evening with friends, a little family reunion or simply a welcome stop. The most recent part was completely renovated and converted into a small hotel modern and comfortable. The comfortable rooms at very friendly price have sink, shower/WC, TV and wifi.

Detailed Reviews
While this hotel is quite lovely, note the times they are open prior to going. There are about 80 stairs to take from the street level to get to the hotel, you may want to inquire ahead of time how the best way to get there is. They also do not have air conditioning which is probably fine except that I was there during their recent heat wave. They did have a small fan. The hotel is clean, nicely decorated and there is a restaurant connected to it which is quite good.

Nice, simple yet charming place, with a yummy traditional restaurant attached - see picture - perfect when you care more about the people and traditions than for artificial luxury. Right next to the flowered Parc Chaplin. Beware for the church's bell, though...

Nice spot for a meal near The Charlie Chaplin Museum in Switzerland. Nice covered terrace, nice eating spot upstairs and we were fortunate that one of the staff spoke English. Had a delightful lunch and noticed that their offering on the menu was extensive.

This is more like a Restaurant that decided to offer some rooms, not really a hotel as such.
Check-in in the Restaurant, rooms very, very basic. First room we saw (in the annex building) felt like a bit like a jail cell, toilet/bathroom was really tiny, fortunately we were able to change to another room in the main building.
Again, very basic room, bathroom was a bit bigger. Room cleanliness was ok. The beds were just horrible, to put it mildly, and were kind of old metal frame beds with worn-out wire springs. The thin mattresses (or whatever it was that posed as mattress) made you feel like lying in a hammock.
Given the fact how tired the rooms looked, the bad beds and small bathrooms, the place is overprized and not value for money.
The Restaurant looks quite good good. We checked the menu and found it very pricey. We decided to eat someplace else, which turned out to be not the best decision.
When we came back dinner service was in full swing and the food we saw being served looked fantastic, both in terms of quality and quantity. The place was jam-packed with locals, so I guess the value for money should be quite good.
I can't comment on breakfast as we had to leave around 05:00 am the next morning.
Parking can be tricky, especially at dinner time, as the hotel is located in the old town of Corsier-sur-Vevey. If you leave early enough you can find a parking close by, the hotel has only few parking spaces.
A short walk form the hotel is a small park with breath-taking views over Lake Geneva and the French Alps.
A 'maybe' or emergency solution for 1 night, however, for the price charged I am sure better places can be found in this area.
Can't recommend as accommodation

This hotel is a nightmare!
I don’t like nothing in this hotel and restaurant.
When we checked in the manager said that we need to pay in check out. But then came to our room at 23:45 (photo of bill attached) when we’re sleeping already. And said that tomorrow they don’t work and we need to pay now. Now I understand that all stuff planned to have fun and drink all night this why they don’t plan to work next day. There is no air conditioner in room so you need to sleep with open window. Stuff was drinking alcohol, singing and listening music very loud at 03:30am till 06:00 all warning about police was ignored. They did’t even clean table after themselves.
What about restaurant. We reserved table at restaurant at 21:00, when we came stuff told us that they don’t have place for us and we need to wait in line and come back after one hour.
I’m not recommend to stay here especially with kids. They don’t respect any human rights.

Friendly stuff, nice breakfast, nice building with history, rooms are ok and clean. The place is very cosy and looks like back in the old days. I mean that in a good way. Close to all Charlie Chaplin spots.

I havent stayed in the hotel but i frequent the restaurant for the Entrecote as well as Moules. The entrecote is served raw with a mouthwatering butter based sauce on a hot plate for you to cook to your liking. The place is usually packed so suggest to make advance reservations.

Good location close to Vevey. A bus stop right next to the hotel. Quiet at night. Go to the restaurant to check in.
The hotel has that very authentic feel to it, feels cozy. The room is small but enough for one person and clean. WiFi worked well.
The breakfast was pretty basic: croissants, bread, cheese, butter, tea/coffee. But all the food is good. I'm not sure if it's reasonable to expect anything better in this area.
Definitely would stay there again.
