We had a fantastic stay over New Year 2020. I cannot say enough about how nice the Staff were. Always helpful and readily available. Perfect communication over the holiday period. They even went as far a mailing back my daughters headphone after she left them in the bed. Free of charge! Thank you. Brig is lovely town with easy rail access to Zermatt and the surround area. The hotel is fully refurbished but still retains its original character. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Hi Geoff Thank you so much for spreading your kind words and feedback! As you know, we really just want our guests be be happy and feel good and comfortable in our house! The hotel was totally renovated and refurbished 5 years ago - but with a lot of respect for the history of the house from 1884. It is really a place to feel at home or like visiting good friends while visiting the surround area like Zermatt, Simplon Pass or the Aletsch Area with the beautiful Aletsch Glacier. Fantastic at any time of the year! We look forward to see you any time again while travelling Europe with your lovely family! Best regards Hanne and the Hotel de Londres Team

the location is very central. that can mean that is a bit loud in the weekend evenings. the rooms seem to be all different. mine was large enough for one person. on the 4th floor. nicely decorated. not too loud. no view but light. breakfast was fantastic. personnel is extremely nice and helpful brig is a nice little town, well preserved. with some major historic sites - the castle amongst them. Stockalper was a major family / figure in swiss history. and the stockalper hiking trek starts there. Brig to Simplon pass and then to Gondo

Dear guest Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We really appreciate it a lot. So great to hear, that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our house in located on the main square with all its advangages and disadvangages. Yes, all the rooms are indeed different in size and shape. The house is from 1884, so of course the standard would be different, if it was built in 2019. What makes it unique is the decor, the colours and atmosphere. We really wan't to make our guest feel like staying at a friend's house - cosy and relaxed - offering a wonderful breakfast with homemade and local delicacies. We wish you all the best and hope to be able to welcome you here again some day soon again. Best regards Hanne and the Hotel de Londres Team

Stayed here with a small group, occupying three rooms. This is a nice, centrally located small high-end 3 star hotel in Brig. The town is small, nice, quiet, without major sights, and mostly useful as a place for stopover when visiting the Alps in Wallis or traveling between Switzerland and Italy over (or under) the Simplon pass. The rooms had been recently renovated thoroughly (and with good taste): nice basic furniture, and nice basic bathroom. We had a family room with a queen bed and a separate single bed. WiFi worked well. There is no aircon (you must keep windows open in summer). TV in the room would be a nice addition, but no problem without it. There are spacious common areas on the 1st floor, including a large breakfast room and an outdoor terrace opening to the central square. Breakfast was not very extensive, something one would expect in a small hotel. One major problem, however, concerns room #206 (a family room), which does not apply to a similar family room #306 one floor higher. This room #206 is right above the kitchen of a neighboring restaurant. The kitchen windows are open all evening (at least in summer), and the kitchen staff has a table on the street right below the #206 windows. Whenever something is fried in the kitchen, you can smell it in the room, very clearly. And when the restaurant staff are having a break, they will be sitting at the chairs below the window, talking (and this is often), and their voices echo in the narrow back alley facing #206. In summer it is warm, and you want to keep the windows open (no aircon in the hotel), and then it is noisy and smelly in #206 way after small kids' bedtime. Room #306 is totally different: it is higher up, has views partly over the roofs (including mountain), and no smell and no noise. The hotel should fix room #206, or offer it with a steeply reduced rate in the summer months. A fix would be a low-power airconditioning unit that would allow cooling the room and keeping the windows closed in the (late) evening to avoid the noise and smell.

Thank you very much for taking your time to give us a feedback. We appreciate this a lot! We want our guests to feel like home or like visiting friends in a nice and joyful atmosphere - using our common areas like our wonderful living room and terrace. Accordingly our rooms are furnished simply, yet classy. We are sorry to hear about, what you experienced in room #206. Actually it hasn't been an issue until now, so we'll have a talk with the restaurant. We're sure, they can arrange their breaks somewhere else. Our house is dated from 1884, so the importance of heritage is big. We are not able to unstall any aircon. We have to pass the hottest summer nights with fans and open windows. Thanks again for your feedback. Now we are able to react on your experiences. It was great to have you here and we wish you all the best! Best regards from Brig. Hanne and the Hotel de Londres Team

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night only. We were welcomed at check in with any drink we desired. We were then shown to our room which I can honestly say was the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in, and there have been many. The bed and linen were comfortable, towels fluffy, toiletries of high quality. On arrival there was a apricot tart, if we wanted to partake, and the next day this was a rhubarb strudel. Both were delicious. Breakfast was fresh, well, presented and the chef prepared eggs, etc anyway you wanted them.we were offered pancakes later which looked lovely but we did no sample. We did stay on a Friday night and there is a downside which sadly the proprietors of this hotel can not control. There is a British style pub downstairs, and they are open until 2am. When they closed it was exceptionally noisy and we could not sleep despite being supplied with ear plugs. Noise did not settle until three :-(. My suggestion is ask for a room on the other side of the hotel, not overlooking the ‘town square’, if your stay in on a Friday or Saturday night. The manager was extremely apologetic about the noise and is frustrated too. There is no A/C only heating. This is a beautiful old building and I suggested to the Manager that the addition of ceiling fans would go a long way to the comfort of sleep, especially on the moist nights that you cannot open the windows, which she took well. Hopefully this is something easy that can be done.

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We really appriciate it. We put our hearts into our guests and them feeling good and happy. We are situated on the main square with all its advantages and disadvantages. We are working on the "Project ceiling fans". That would be a wonderful thing. It was nice to be a part of your retirement journey and we hope, that your good memories about us will last. All the best to you in Australia! Best regards Hanne and the Hotel de Londres Team

The Hotel de Londres feels more homely than a typical hotel. We arrived at 8pm so did a self check in that went smoothly on account of the instructions that were emailed to us. There is so much to love about this boutique hotel - gorgeous rooms with incredible views, the common lounge that included an honesty bar (often with complimentary home baked snacks), top end breakfast (best we had in Europe) and genuinely caring staff (thank you to them all). The only negative is the noise from the bar/pub that is downstairs. Would love to stay here again.
