this is quite a basic hotel but a good central location in the town centre. No restaurant but an adequate breakfast room in the basement. Our bedroom was very `poky` No car parking - this can be a drag , it is some distance away over the railway bridge

The hotel is very centrally located, a 5 min walk from the train station and just steps away from restaurants and shopping. We were greeted very warmly by the staff and since we went during Christmas time we were given free vouchers for a drink at the Christmas Market. The entire hotel has a very old and historic feel to...

The Gasthof Inselgraben is situated in the heart of Hintere Island of Lindau, on Lake Constance, or Bodensee, in Bavaria Germany. At first glance, the hidden charms of a by-gone era, are cleverly hidden, keeping this little gem out of the main stream tourist radar. Good for us, as we were very happy with our cozy room and plentiful morning...

Single room was small but adequate. Clean. Bed very comfy and no external noise. Two toilets on 2nd floor, shower on 1st floor. Breakfast good, especially the bread. Secure room available for bicycles.

Parts of this place was built in the 1500's! That's 500 years old, so it comes with plenty of character! Some could be annoyed by some of these character traits, but to me it added to the experience. Windy narrow halls, low ceilings, steps where there's no need for a step, different levels and smallish rooms. That's character, and adds...

Thought it was a bit expensive for the room, was small, but room & bathroom clean with white sheets & towels. The breakfast was all we needed, all fresh. Don't expect any wifi, it's slow & painful. If you have a car pre-book it, apparently only 2 spots ???, we had to park down at the train station & walk,...

Brilliant location, big, clean rooms and the best service ever. We stopped for one night when travelling during a school holiday with our two sons. We were given a choice between two rooms that were both enormous and actually gave the parents some privacy! These rooms were called family rooms, but would be called suites anywhere else. We were very...

I had a singelroom and it was quite small but very clean. The location is perfect. The island city of Lindau is very nice and charming. Breakfast was simple but good. Everything is near in the island and there are many very nice restaurants and cafes.

“Book in the off season to avoid the crowds to the island.”

“If you get any of the rooms 1-4 be sure to close the hallway door so that folks going up the steps don't disturb you. And get to breakfast early before the visitors from less financially stable European economies arrive and start loading their backpacks with all the great bread and meat. No wonder fewer and fewer German hotels are offering free Fruhstuck.”
