We selected this hotel on the recommendation of our friend and we are glad to mention that the hotel was quite good for our 2 nights stay. We got a lovely river facing room overlooking famous Cochem castle. This hotel is around 10 mins walk from Cochem main Train station. The hotel staff was quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu was quite good. This hotel is very close to the central market place. Only negative part was the wifi connection inside the hotel which was quite bad especially on the third floor where we were staying....

At the reception, people were friendly and correct. The rooms are spacious and comfortable enough. However, The interior of the rooms (and the rest) is a rather dated, which I can accept. The music played at the launch and the breakfast room seems to consist of only 8-10 songs which are being played over and over and over again. After hearing Celine Dion hearing for the twentieth time that "her heart will go on" this becomes extremely annoying. As the other 7 songs also have about the same age, it is an indication that nobody bothers to reflect on any evolution since the 80's. The "free WIFI" is of such a poor quality that it is more honest to say there is no wifi at all. If one is not able to offer free wifi, please make it payable but according to me it is not acceptable

This hotel is at the right bank of the Mosel river, opposite the historic center of the number one tourist destination in the lower Mosel Valley. It is walking distance to the bridge crossing over to the historic center and offers very nice views on the city and Castle. The rooms are of the better tourist class, having in room safe, frigde, (no coffee and water bottles are sold for 2,5€), nice flat screen tv. Simple but clean bathroom. I have stayed in many hotels in the Mosel Valley and around Cochem, This is by far the best one untill now.

We stayed for the weekend, just to get out of our busy lives. The check-in was quick, the room was tidy and clean. Beds were nice just like the rest of the room. We booked at Brixiade, but stayed at Triton a few doors down. The swimming pool and sauna were in Triton, small but definitely worth it. We stayed with half-pension, the breakfast was large, enough food to choose from and for every picking. The first evening we had a 4-course dinner, which had no choice, but tasted really well. The second day we had a buffet, it was very large in choice of desserts, but the other two courses were pretty much set, not much choice. The setting of the hotel in the area is great, with briliant view.

Well drove there to stay for one night. Easy parking access for free. Location, LOVELY across the river with a great view of the town and less than 4 min walk across. Check In: Fast and nice process. Hotel was almost empty and asked for a good view but placed us in a quadruple room noting that we were a couple which I didn't like. Asked for a nice view but noting that hotel was empty we were charged for extra 20 Euros for a double room with view. Theyre right but wasn't up to customer experience. Anyways, Room size was great, hygiene was great as well. Hotel interiors along with room is less than AVG which is not nice at all and very old. Wifi is very poor. Bathroom is ok but didn't like much. Room with balcony has great view and nice seating area. Bed wasn't comfy.

My review of the hotel Brixiade: Don't expect this (or its sister hotel, the Triton) to be a five star hotel. Our experience was bad from check in. But this cuts the cake. After a hot day out, we returned to find that the airconditioning doesn't work. And they say that they have to get a technician to come. And he might not come today, which is understandable. But here's the crazy part. The only option we have is to move to their sister hotel, the triton. But we have to pay twenty euros more because it is a larger room. My review of the Triton: Having moved to the Triton, we find that the airconditioning still doesn't work, amongst other things. We called for help about the aircon as it was very warm in the room and we would not be able to sleep and would be on the road the

We stayed for 2 nights in a river view room and it was beautiful to look out of the big windows or sit on the (small) balcony. Parking was easy after first having to go through a small entrance to a road to get down to the bottom street in a large rental car! We did not find the evening meals too good. I had the buffet one night which was better than the menu food. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Hotel Brixiade in July. The hotel is situated right on the side of the Moselle with fabulous views of the castle. The hotel is very comfortable, but probably needs a facelift in the near future. We found free parking very easy on the street, but the hotel does have an underground car park. We did not use the restaurant as it is very easy to walk across the bridge to the town centre where there is a multitude of restaurants. Breakfast was fine with a good selection of different choices.

Great hotel, with superb location for the old town. The hotels in the centre either dont have parking or its expensive. The Brixade has ample free parking inside and out, and is a 5 min walk over the bridge into town, which makes a lovely walk back in the evening at the end of the day. ESSENTIAL: Pay a little extra and get a balcony room, as the view is exceptional of the village and the castle. The reviews of people staying in rear facing rooms speak for themselves. Youll hate a room at the back unless its just to sleep. If you dont want to look at a wall of rock and dont want to pay the extra, stay somewhere else. Great breakfast ( with sparkling wine!!). usual continental but lovely patio to have it on. Great bar and food. Its a bit pricey, compared to the other hotels,
