Detailed Reviews
They’ve had a crack at updating this roadhouse but they still have some way to go. This place is significantly cheaper than other roadhouses and there’s a reason for that. From the outside, the whole place looks derelict and needs a really good tidy up. Room walls are painted which is nice, new looking curtains, decent beds and bedspreads and aircon works which was great, shower good and bathroom has had a facelift, also good. New looking kettle and toaster. Cracked toilet seat not so good. Screens choked with cobwebs and dust and windows you can’t see out of for the dirt, not so good, old sheets so thin you can see the mattress, not so good. No chairs, no bedside tables and a haphazard collection of plates and cutlery also not so good. Investment in good bedding and more thorough cleaning would make all the difference here. Luckily, we’re campers which enabled us to clean the place up a little, use our own bedding, camping chairs and table. If you’re on a budget, go for it, if you expect the best or details matter, skip it or risk being disappointed. PS some rooms have a full size bar fridge and others just a mini fridge with tiny freezer. If you need the bigger fridge, you’ll need to ask.

A patch of dirt with a number of power outlets does not a Caravan Park make. $20/night gets you the following: The Laundry has been removed. The toilets are in disrepair and have not had maintenance in years. "Male showers", "Female showers" signs mean: one door reveals one toilet and one shower (so disgusting, we decided not to shower) and a hand basin with no taps. The other door has a sign indicating 'Unisex' showers. This reveals 2 shower cubicles. One without taps or a shower head. The other one in poor condition. The hand basin has a tap, but the water barely runs away.

Dirty inside, very expensive prices. Toilets disgusting. No compressor for tyres. Use only if desperate 😂 Got charged twice for my outrageously priced items!!! Not happy. Dining in options look very undesirable. Would not spend any more of my money there willingly.

This was the worst place we have ever stayed the night, most would have perhaps driven on after seeing the room but we didn't want to drive another 150km. The bedding was dubious, we could hear mice all night, there was someone's discarded jeans in a cupboard. An odd assortment of crockery, just one mug, fortunately we had our own, and bottled water absolutely necessary. We certainly wouldn't want to eat there, the whole place needs a complete upgrade. The shower was actually OK with hot water, we would never stay there again.

I was driving through and stopped to fill up and take dogs for quick walk. They were just walking, nothing else when a slovenly ,obese rude woman came out and abused me for letting dogs walk around area and that she didn't want dogs going to toilet then telling me to have some respect! I actually do and if the dogs did go to the toilet I would of picked it up like I always do. I told the woman not to be so bloody rude and carried on my way.
I personally wouldn't of stayed three anyway as it was run down and deserted but maybe if the woman had some "self respect " for her appearance and behaviour and was nicer to dogs she might have more visitors.
Give the place a wide berth. Go to Ceduna instead
The Lady in petrol station next door was lovely though

We came from WA across, so we had stayed at a couple of places already along the Nullarbor and knew that accommodation anywhere isn't 5-star. The room was quite large but hasn't been updated for some time. The bed was comfortable. However, we had some sort of machinery that had fans going outside our bathroom and the toilet leaked all night. This coupled with the fact that we were disturbed by noise outside our room at 11 pm to find a 'local' was syphoning petrol from our car (the petrol tank was now broken) and the Police saying they would be back, meant we did not get much sleep. Note: it is a dry community up until Nundroo, which means the aborigines come here to buy their alcohol and go out into the bush to drink.
In hindsight we should have kept driving to Streaky Bay where we were booked for the next night.

Response from Nundroo, Owner at Nundroo Hotel Motel
Responded 10 Aug 2015
We are sorry to hear that your car was broken into whilst you were staying at Nundroo. I am glad the police dealt with it though.. Unfortunately cars get broken into whether you are in the city or country and all over Australia, it is just unfortunate it happened to you at Nundroo, which is a very rare occurance for us out here. Nundroo cant sell takeaway alcohol to residents of Yalata and Oak Valley so you are incorrect to say the Aboriginals were at Nundroo to buy alcohol. In hindisight you were lucky your car wasn't broken into at Streaky Bay as well!

We stayed at the Nundroo Caravan Park. Wished we hadn't. Totally disorganized caravan parking. Toilets and showers were filthy. I refused to even use the showers. My husband did but wore his thongs and then came back to the van and used hand sanitizer to feel clean! No matter what excuses are made, this place is to be avoided. Just keep driving!!

I recently rode my bicycle from Perth to Pt. Augusta and beyond. This roadhouse was very poor in terms of customer service.
I could NOT pay for my meal, beer and accomodation with 3 different cards that worked everywhere else. In fact after 3 tries with one credit card it's PIN was locked out!
I asked for a fan to circulate the air on my room. It was given, but the "boss" then said "No way! It was for work." She set it back behind the counter and it was still there the next morning. I offered $100 AUD as a security deposit but she said No! I mentioned that other roadhouses accomodated me, but no was no. I said this is poor customer service and I will mention it on Trip Advisor. Her reply: You are giving poor customer service because of a fan?
Yup! Arrogant and uncaring.
The soup erving was as small as in Eucla but cost $10. Other roadhouses (Balladonia, Mundrabilla, Caiguna, etc) had bigger portions and costs between $7 and $9. Not much of a difference, but look at the %age increase. Besides, I could pay with my credit card there - with no issues.

Response from Nundroo, Manager at Nundroo Hotel Motel
Responded 10 Aug 2015
Thanks for staying at Nundroo and taking the time to comment on Trip Advisor about our shop fan. I have read your comments and had a chat with our manager to get the full story. We feel you were out of line in suggesting that we give you the shop fan for the night - it wasn't the cost it was the principal. The way you spoke to our staff and manager was inappropriate, then threatening to put it on trip advisor because your couldn't get your own way. Your creditt card declined - insufficient funds, entering incorrect pin was hardly a fault of the Nundroo Roadhouse.
