This hotel is attached to the best teaching conference centre around. Located on the plateau above Bernkastel-Kues it has been our "go to" hotel for the past 20 years presenting two one week seminars every year. Location allows for cool breaks in the old town for sightseeing and of course wine tasting.

The appearance of the hotel shows immediately that it is no longer the 4 stars hotel it used to be. The external walls haven't been painted for a long time. The room we had was however clean. We had half-boarding and noticed that the food quality was hardly better than a canteen. Quantity was however sufficient. Internet access had a... More

The location, rooms and personnel are very good! Breakfast was outstanding delicious, enough choice, more than average! A lot of parking space and a big play garden for kids. Also you have a tennis court and several other hiking things to do.

We stayed 1 night at this hotel and were so glad to get out of it the next morning. The photos on their website are nothing compared to what the place actually is. First of all, the outside of the hotel is just crying out to be cleaned and painted. They advertise themselves as a quiet location, yet there was... More

I understand that the ownership of this hotel-plus has changed since my last review. My tennis group are still using the Kamin bar-and-food weekly and it continues just as serenely under Katja's watchful eye. Long may it be so. I cannot comment on other aspects of the hotel but on the surface all seems as good as ever.

Good food, old but spacy neat rooms. Very peacefully situated. A wonderful sauna with resting room and a clean swimming-pool at the ground-floor. If you are a bit fit you can easily step to the centre of Bernakastel. We did it along the vineyards with our 6-year old son. We will surely recommend this place.

Good hotel, Breakfast is a buffet with more than enough choice. The menu at evening does not look very good, so we take the buffet. It was more than enough. Price of drinks is good. Pool is clean and very good. The rooms above the "dance bar" are noisy untill 3am. We asked for another room and it was fixed... More

If you have a family and can get a good price on an apartment, this may be good value. However, for two of us this was not really a consideration. This is basically a self-contained holiday village aimed at Germans, and people that want family holidays and sports facilities, presumably on a budget. However, we didn't really enjoy it a... More

We went to Bernkastel to visit the Christmas markets and my son-in-law booked this accommodation (two apartments) taking into account three children. I think the hotel has hotel rooms as well as apartments, such as we stayed in. It is getting a little old, but what doesn't eventually. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable, quite a long walk from... More
