We were staying in a nearby apartment and went to hotel Steiger on our last night. The food was delicious - a mix of traditional German plus more modern cooking. The device was excellent - we had time to review the menu (which unlike some other restaurants in the area, you have a menu then need to make a selection...

I think this is the a fantastic place because it is 5 minutes by car to the famous Neuschwanstein castel, very close to the Fussen town and in a silence place, with green and peace!I went in July with my family (two childrens 13 and 9 years old) from Italy and we found very courtesy and familiar hotel. The proprietor...

I decided to book this hotel for 3 days in July. In April, I wrote a letter to the hotel with a question about the possibility of booking a specific room DOST and price. When I received the rates I asked what else is needed to confirm the reservation. Here is the letter: "Von: Ugrinovich Alexander Gesendet: Freitag, 11. April...

We visited the restaurant to this hotel for a family evening meal. I saw they had a salad buffet and was looking forward to having salad with something. I found the menu very poor without the usual range of good German dishes. There wasn't much offered with a main salad so I ordered the pork. It was a total mistake....

We were staying in the village of Horn, a 10 minute walk away. The hotel's restaurant was recommended. We were seated in a conservatory type area with folding doors drawn back that gave a beautiful view down the valley to Fussen which changed to magical as darkness descended and the town walls and towers were illuminated. Admittedly we were late...

We have stayed here twice over the past 3 years and the hotel is very tidy and in a good location for local attractions. The staff are very friendly and will cater to your needs. The hotel restaurant food is outstanding and one of the reasons we went back again. Our first stay at the hotel in 2010 saw us...

We called in for a meal on the last night of our holiday. The location is lovely and the surroundings very pleasant. The service was however quite slow and the food was ordinary/ mediocre. We also found it quite expensive for what it was and be warned, they only accept cash!

We visited Hotel Steiger during a long bike ride around the nearby lakes in August. It's a little tucked away, but well signposted. We sat on the garden patio to enjoy the flowers and the beautiful pastoral view. We tasted several small plates including Weisswurst, a traditional Bavarian sausage, smoked trout fillets with salad, and a cream herb soup. All...
