We had a wonderful stay here in the summer! Staff and accommodations were fantastic! Restaurant was great, we had dinner here every night. Traveled with kids who can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend it as a place that is super kid friendly!!

This little hotel is a great find! Excellent location (you can visit famous castles or just enjoy mountains and lakes walks), beautiful rooms, friendly service, free parking, beds a bit soft. The restaurant is great, especially cakes. We had good internet connection during almost all our stay. We were able to buy tickets to the famous Kristall Termes in the... More

We stayed for 2 nights at end July arriving at about midnight from Munich. The owner was waiting for us with keys to let us in. Breakfast is continental but we really enjoyed the fruit as well. They have bicycles you can take for free so we spent the whole of the next day out on our bikes not returning... More

Location: located in a small village just a 5 minute drive from Neuschwanstein Castle. Easy parking behind hotel and simple to locate with GPS. Note that the hotel does sit right on the street (pretty quiet) but not all rooms face the street. Room: stayed in family room for 5 people on the bottom floor of an annex that was... More

On May 25 we were driving through Germany to go to see castles in Bravaria. The countryside is so beautiful. We decided to throw fate to the wind in finding accommodations. We came upon Hotel Helmer. The rooms were large, exceptionally clean, wonderfully decorated, the personnel very accommodating, and there was a laundry there also. The restaurant food was good.... More

We booked this hotel last-minute from the tourist office. Our family of five was offered a two-bedroom apartment, which was perfect for us. There weren't really cooking facilities, but the hotel restaurant was very good, and the breakfast buffet was huge. The only real drawback was the very strong smell of horse poop, exacerbated by the summer heat. Advantages include... More

Spent two nights in Hotel Helmer. We got the Ludwig room, which is a very spacious room with a big balcony with a beautiful view. We could see both castles and the Alps. That was priceless! The breakfast was very good, service was great, we had many options to choose. The location is perfect, close to the Castle. It was... More

We visited this hotel for 3 nights,my husband myself and our 3 children along with American friends and their 3 teenage children. What a lovely hotel, from the picturesque setting with the mountains around, the beautiful red geraniums and the very comfortable rooms. We ate in the restaurant every evening and had great food, service and beer! We borrowed the free... More

Stayed at this hotel during our car trip through Europe (parents and 2 teenagers). We rented a family room (bedroom with a double bed and a living room with two beds and a sofa) through Helmer site (quick response). It was a great choice to explore the region. We were allocated a large room at the rear of the hotel and looked out onto farmland and garden. A l baby calf called to us every once in a while which really made us realise we were in a rural setting. The room was spacious and very quiet. The restaurant served excellent meals and afternoon tea consisted of wonderful... More
