Was at a weekend seminal and the staff at Hotel Alpenrose were top-notch! All spoke perfect English and were very friendly! Great food (and plenty of it!) I ordered a special vegetarian meal and was cheerfully granted my request! They even brought me extras! As usual, German hospitality at its finest!

The Sauna room was locked, the billiard table was damaged and unusable, table tennis room small. The room we saw and booked on-line was not the room we got. The passing train with whistle early morning & evening was an unexpected and unwelcomed surprise. 10min walk to local town and restaurants was good.

Nice quiet Hotel not to far from Ludwig Castles! If you are looking for a location near the big buzz of the Bavarian Castles, Nesselwang and the Hotel Alpenrose could be an idea. Clean room, spacious enough for 3 (we were travelling with our daughter), maybe the batroom is a litle narrow. Breakfast good!

The hotel was convenient, clean and comfortable. We had a good size room although bulbs needed replacing and the shower needed fixing. Breakfast was great and it's a good location for Fussen. The hotel is close to a lovely playground which unbelievably has a train track running through it. These run about every 30 mins and start around 6 am...

Stayed with my family in this hotel. Small but cozy room. Great breakfast included. Convenient to Fussen where we were going to see the castles. The town is busy with skiers and the scenery was beautiful! Very much enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were a little dated, but in my opinion it simply added to the charm.

Nesselwang to Fussen --no train that goes straight there instead take the bus which only takes 30mins and it cost 4euro each way. From the hotel go down to main street where the Catholic church is turn left toward Aldi grocery store(going East on main st)(Aldi-we bought our waters and food) you come across the tourist information building(which close on...

When we arrived in the early evening it was a cute building in the rear of a residential area just past the town. The restaurant was only serving 2 dishes which were not to our liking, so we went out to eat. The room was cozy and clean with a nice little balcony facing the Alps and a little kitchen...

We found the Alpenrose to be in a good location for a one night stopover en route to Mad King Ludwig' s Castle at Neuschwenstein. Although situated on the edge of a residential area the hotel is quiet. It is very comfortable and our room nice and clean. It is a 15 minute walk to the town. You don't need...

Recommend the hotel and the area around. Relaxing atmosphere and suitable for mountain sport.

The pictures would make you think that this hotel is in a meadow, overlooking the Alps. The truth is, it's in a new development outside a small town (you'll need a car) right next to other hotels and housing with views of the parking lot below. Rooms are dark and dreary and there's nobody on duty after 6 p.m. Billiard...
