We stayed two nights, and it was a memorable stay. The hotel is charming, and we had a room with a small terrace with a Rhine view, which was a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner glass of wine. The staff were very friendly and...More
We live near enough but have never taken the time to stay in a castle on the Rhein. I am so glad we chose Schoenburg, I would recommend to everyone! First of all, checking in was a breeze and then we were escorted to our...More
This was our first stop on our 10 day tour of Germany, and we had two wonderful rooms near the “secret” door out to the view of the courtyard from above. So cool to walk around on top of the castle and the views were...More

They had carts for transporting luggage. They were basically golf carts. They seemed glad to transport you. Then get a room on the first floor and you should be good. A lot of the charm of the castle are the gardens that would not be good for someone with limited mobility. Many of the rooms and restaurants with great views would be easily accessible. I hope this helps. The hotel went out of their way to make sure to accommodate us. I am sure they would help your father. It is a once in a lifetime place.
