I recently returned to the US (end of June 2015) after having stayed 3 nights at the Landhaus Muehle. I cannot exaggerate how wonderly run this place is. Katya (the wife) heads up the living quarters and Rolf (the husband) is in charge of the food. They seemlessly help each other to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Everything... More

We spent two nights in the Landhaus Mühle in Schluchsee. We never visited the place before and we did not know it exists until we found it in TripAdvisor. I know, this sounds like an ad but it is true. The house: The house is about 500 year old but very well refurbished without changing or destroying the old style.... More

We just spent 3 wonderful days @ Landhaus Mühle and were amazed by the excellent food and the charming decoration. Katja and Rolf welcomed us as if we were friends making this trip a very special one. This was the first trip with our 9 months old twins and they did everything to accommodate our needs (they even helped unpack... More

We stayed for a week at this beautiful b&b. The whole place was so tastefully decorated and even though we had the simplest room, the bathroom was very 'chic hotel' with a huge shower. Katja spoke good English, which helped us greatly and Rolf made some delicious food, especially his schnitzel and tiramisu: it was heavenly! There were various large... More

We found the Landhaus Muehle perfect for a family get-away in the Black Forest. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the small Schuchsee train station and town center, It is on a dead-end street and extremely quiet and peaceful. We were personally greeted by Ms Nowak and Mr Pochert upon arrival, even though it was 10 pm. Ms.... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this wonderful place. Our upper floor room was spacious and had picturesque pastoral view. Our hosts were very friendly and ready to help. Food was very good with variety on every day. There're a lot of things to do : walking tours, lake tours, spas around or simply relax on sunbed in hotel's garden.We'd... More

Already upon arrival in the parking area, we were greeted personally and guided to our room. We had a smaller room just below the roof, and it had all the space we needed. The bathroom was surprisingly large. All very clean, very quiet, new and friendly. And we slept like babies. Katja and Rolf, the host couple, made us feel... More

Our family of four spent a glorious night in this boutique hotel set in a 500 year-old chalet on the outskirts of the tiny Black Forest village of Schluchsee! It had everything we were looking for: a friendly host, a delicious meal, a lovely view, and a comfortable bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Everything in the place was of the highest... More

“this is an historical hotel but newly restaured and fashionly decorated in romantic country style. There are 12 bedrooms and the 3 new small attic rooms (2 + 1 family suite) are charming (we rent N°10 ) and quiet, with real wood floor and fresh , white with colour spots, new decoration . A good double bed with 2 mattresses and 2 duvets , nice armchair , lamps , nice large shower(for 2...), heating system is very good.Roof windows from which you can see the countryside but not the lake , wich is a little too far from sight but not from walk (10 mn). A little cosy and quiet nest, , under the roof, perfect for a romantic WE with nobody on your head but the sky ! the other big rooms(2 other floors) are very comfortable and nicelly decorated as well in blue or red tones !(some doors were open when we left and we glanced an eye) the sauna room with own zen garden and large couches and armchairs is great if you can experience it ! all toilet and shower systems are brand new and as clean as possible.”
