After the renovation of the 260 rooms in 2015, the complete redesign of the Stuttgart Marriott Hotel in Sindelfingen followed, focusing on the modern business traveler. The lobby as well as the breakfast area shines in a new splendor and presents itself as one of the few "Redesigned Marriott" houses with a unique bar concept under the slogan "Modern, Regional, Swabian" as bar and lounge The Local. The new concept inspires with its exciting design and invites guests to work, socialize and linger from breakfast time to afterwork cocktail with Swabian dishes and drinks from the region. The Steakhouse Restaurant serves hand-cut and perfectly grilled American beef that makes the gourmet heart beat faster. Whether meeting or training, workshop, product presentation or network event – with daylight flooded meeting rooms for up to 350 people, the hotel offers the right setting for every event.

The Stuttgart Marriott Hotel Sindelfingen is not actually in Stuttgart but in Sindelfingen, a 20-minute drive away (longer with traffic). The hotel is well-maintained, with a modern design from its last renovation in 2018/2019. Rooms are comfortable, but the beds feel below Marriott standards, and the pillows need improvement.

Check-in and check-out were smooth, but the once-warm hospitality has faded. Staff do their jobs well but lack the engagement and enthusiasm from past visits. Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite recognition was decent, with an upgrade and breakfast included.

The Steakhouse, once a highlight, now feels average, and pricing is becoming questionable for the quality. The Local Bar & Restaurant still has a cold atmosphere, though drinks were good. Breakfast was a highlight, with a great selection and the friendliest staff in the hotel.

The Executive Lounge offers soft drinks all day and a good evening buffet, but it's closed for breakfast. The pool and sauna are small but nice.

Overall, an okay stay, but the hotel has lost its character and warmth. Staff is doing their bare minimum without passion. If prices are lower than Stuttgart hotels, it’s a reasonable option—just set your expectations accordingly.

We stayed for a night on the hottest weekend of the year. We drove happy into the very expensive parking (25€), thinking we are so lucky to book a hotel with air conditioning and a pool on this hot day. Checking in (with points and platinum membership) we were happy to find the platinum lounge to be so big and well serving, finishing the check in, I asked until what time can we use the pool. And only at that minute they told us that the pool is *closed for the next week*!!! This is the reason we chose this hotel!!!
Trying to drink our disappointment away, we took some drinks and had a nice dinner at the lounge, and eventually went upstairs to sleep. Executive floor, all suites and…
Guess what.. the AC wasn’t working properly too! The room was so warm we couldn’t sleep. In the morning we had a nice breakfast and left the hotel as quickly as we could.
It’s possible we could have chosen a night on a nice weekend with opened pool and love this hotel, but the we spend a lot of points on this hotel, and didn’t get what we payed for. If we would have known about the pool, we would have slept elsewhere. At no point did the hotel inform us it’s going to be closed, or offer some off the points back to us. So as much as this hotel has to offer, we had a disappointing experience.

Dear Guest hhsol, Thank you very much for staying here at the Stuttgart Marriott Hotel Sindelfingen last week and providing your honest feedback on TripAdvisor. We are very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, our ours for that matter. Unfortunately we had to do maintenance on our pool and have been communicating this information via our website, the websites of intermediaries as well as pre arrival emails, however sometimes this does not reach everyone and we are very sorry to see that this was the case for you. Regarding our AC, as you said it was the hottest weekend of the year and some of our ACs were not up for this extreme challenge, to our regret we were unable to offer you a room move or fan. We sincerely apologize for that. We are very happy to see that you did like our lounge and the breakfast. The next time you stay in town, consider giving us another chance, we will do our utmost to make it up to you! Kind regards,

The room was clean and comfortable, and reasonably spacious. The staff was attentive. However, the challenge is that this hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. It's a 25-minute walk to central Sindelfingen, and the only things within a short walk from the hotel are a grocery store, pizza restaurant, and a Burger King. Would not recommend staying here if you don't have a car. I did not eat at either of the restaurants, but my colleagues said the breakfast was good.

Extremely disappointed with the service at this hotel. I had to work overnights while staying at this hotel and the staff required me to let the cleaning staff come in to clean my room, and could not accommodate around my sleep schedule. After working a 13 hour shift overnight, the last thing I want is to wait another 2 hours after I get back for housekeeping to clean a room that I barely soiled and didn't want nor need cleaned. Additionally, I reserved at the lodging and breakfast rate, but had to fill out additional paperwork intermittently when the staff checked if I could access breakfast in the mornings. This made no sense as this would happen for several days, then my room would appear on the list as being covered for lodging and breakfast, but then the next day I would fall off the list again. I brought this up with the staff member checking the breakfast list as well as the front desk with no resolution and apparently no interest in resolving this.

I stayed at this Marriott for four nights in May and I booked an executive floor room. The hotel is not close to downtown Stuttgart, but the location is good if you’re traveling to the area for business.

I’ve always had issues with AC in European hotels, so much so that one of my standing requests is “working AC”. When I entered my room, I entered a beautifully cooled room. The colors in the room are muted, and the furniture simple, but very comfortable. There was no noise and everything in the room looked rather new. Comfortable bed, comfortable small seating area, nice TV (though not a good selection of international channels), all contributed to a comfortable stay.

There is no view to speak of, owing to the location. The bathroom, while clean, was long and narrow. The executive lounge is in the lobby area behind the bar, and it had drinks and food each day. If you’re driving, there’s a parking lot under the hotel. Parking is rather expensive and it has narrow spaces, so keep that in mind when reserving a car.

Staff was pleasant and accommodating and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. All in all, a very pleasant experience matching what I was looking for during this trip.

This property likely attracts people due to it proximity to Mercedes offices and nearby military bases. However, regardless of how you end up here, you will be pleased with the service. It far exceeds expectations for a Marriott.

The property has a sun-filled lobby that is lively in the mornings and evenings. The food options are good. Room service is prompt and of high quality.

The rooms are standard Marriott type rooms. The bathrooms are the normal size, typically with walk-in showers.

There is a modest gym in the basement to keep up with a typical workout. There is also a nice sauna and a pool. There are more expensive hotels you can choose in the City Center but the service and amenities here are just a good. If you need to be close to the bases, the airport, or Mercedes, this is a better, more affordable choice.

One thing to note is that the building is on a central steam / chilled water heating / cooling system. During the winter, if you run hot, you can only get the room so cold. You'll need to open a window to get it colder (which you can crack the window.) This is not unique to this property - it's typical in most hotels here. No matter where you stay, you might want to check.

Managers, amazing, front desk delightful, wait staff fantastic, cleaning staff great! All around the staff here is superb. Location is a big awkward, no greenery, right on the street of a busy road, a big of a walk to any downtown ~20min, but has Kaufland grocery, restaurant in the park, a pizza shop and Chinese place about 5 min walk. On site great restaurant but can be a bit more money than out in town. Parking terrible. Very small and the overflow is 2.5 blocks away with an uphill so not great. If you're a long term guest on PCS the washer and dryer don't work well, very small 2 each and the dryer has no vents so barely dries after an hour, so plan to do laundry elsewhere.

A nice place with welcoming staff. Whilst not “Stuttgart” as such, as it is misleadingly named, this is a good place if you don’t need to be next to a busy city. Everyone is polite and is there to help. Steakhouse serves fantastic steaks and the Local restaurant has decent options for lunch/dinner.

We have stayed at the Sindelfingen Marriott many times over the past couple of years. We keep coming back because of the staff. They are without a doubt some of the best, if not the very best, we have ever encountered in our travels. Whether front desk, restaurant, or housekeeping, you can count on friendly, professional, and personalized service.

We have stayed at several hotels the last few weeks, and a couple of them were using coronavirus countermeasures as an excuse for providing bad service. Not this hotel! The folks at the front desk (Lisa Büttner, Salem Kidane, Eva Kuttler, and Chloe Völmel) made us feel welcome and right at home. The front desk is the heart and brain of a well-run hotel, and the Marriott Sindelfingen staff works tirelessly and passionately. They are simply the best! We could see their warm smiles through their face masks. Victoria Gann at The Local (lobby bar and restaurant) also provided excellent service. Thank you all!

The rooms are average European sizes, and the bathrooms are somewhat small. However, the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the beds are comfortable. We will be back soon!

My stay here was fantastic. The staff working here is absolutely friendly and very helpful. The room sizes are huge compared to many hotels in Europe. They serve an American breakfast and have a variety of choices to include omelettes made to cook. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Good advice to use GPS. Summer is construction season in Germany, and if the normal route is interrupted a GPS may be the best way to find an alternative.

Dear Anthony P., Thank you very much for your question and your request. From the airport there would be the possibility to drive to the hotel by train. Directly from the airport with the train S2 direction fo Schorndorf or the S3 direction Backnang. At the fourth station called "Rohr" you have to change to the S1 direction Herrenberg. You have to exit after one station. It's named Goldberg. From the station Goldberg it takes you around 15 minutes by walking to the hotel. We hope we could answer your question and we are looking forward to welcome you to the Stuttgart Marriott Hotel Sindelfingen. For any further assistance please contact us any time.
