Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Basically we were very satisfied with our cabin. The parking lot was right in front of the cottage, it was clean and the small kitchenette had everything two people need with hotplate, toaster and water cooker. The dining area and bathroom were small, but that didn't really bother. However, the Wi-Fi reception was unfortunately not given in the cottage located outside the park.

We are travelling with our small dog and were really appreciative of this pet friendly park. The cabin we stayed in was lovely and cool after a long day of travelling. The only down side was a distinct dampness odour when entering the cabin which could be rectified with some essential oil. It was well equipped with most things we needed and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed some relaxation time in the pool and it’s a nice walk to the beach front & shops.
We originally only booked one night but were offered a second night at a good rate so we took the offer.

Great park, very friendly and helpful staff. Wish we could have had extra time here, but the need to return home was pressing. The facilities were spotless and there were plenty of bins for recycling and rubbish. The park was dog friendly which is important to us.

We have stayed in powered site with private amenities. The problem was little nasty ants that making our stay miserable. After first complained management told us to go to Bunnings and buy ants spray and powder, which we did. But nothing helped. We really want to cancel our stay but they wouldn’t give us refund. After that they have come and sprayed the area with a special stuff which kept the ants away. Finally.
The amenities were old, rusty and park is facing the busy street were a lot of noise.

Hi Oksana, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We are saddened to see that you did not enjoy your holiday with us but appreciate the opportunity to respond. We are sorry that the ants negatively impacted your stay, and although we have a regular pest control schedule in place, sometimes they can be difficult to manage on the grass. We are pleased that our team member was able to spray the area for you and recommend additional products from Bunnings to have on hand for your future travels. Please know that we have passed your comments on to our management team and hope we will be able to welcome you back again.

The caravan holiday village was more like a trailer
Park from a movie. (Sorry if this offends anyone as I understand our housing crisis, and am not writing this to offend.)
We turned up, the powered ensuite site’s
Power was burnt out and dangerous. The ensuite had a huge spider laying over it which just sort
Of added to the disappointment. The pool was much smaller than pictured. The playground sealed off - not in use.
The management were kind enough to refund our money -
But left us with 5 people requiring accomodation in peak season. We were able to secure another site elsewhere.
Unless you are super casual or travelling alone I would not recommend these grounds for
Families.

We always stay in an economy cabin, plenty of room to park car and boat beside some of the cabins. Staff have always been willing to help and accommodate your needs. Cabins and amenities are very clean, the cleanist I have seen for caravan parks. Cabins are modern and neat and tidy. The BBQ area is roomy and again very clean and tidy. Great central location and quit place to stay.

this park is in a big need of customer service training.
we experienced the worse customer service i have ever had. we needed to leave early because we were worried about getting shut in the borders due to covid and we needed to cut our trip short. we asked for a refund on the nights we would not be there and the two ladies behind the counter ganged up on me and my elderly mother and yelled at us and made some awful comments at us. not once did I raise my voice or swear but I have never felt so attacked by two people who are suppose to be in customer service.
my poor mother was in tears and didn't want to leave the room afterwards. there was no sorry from management nothing we even got told 'I don't know why you would take a holiday in pandemic' here we are trying to support business and got treated just awful.
even as I walked away the one lady continued to attack me. never have I met such nasty people.
as you can see from my past reviews I do not do bad reviews, until now.
and by the way lucky we left as the borders shut a couple of days later
never again who I ever stay there or recommend to anyone

Well laid out park with lovely gardens, pool, a good size camp kitchen and friendly staff. The amenities are clean and tidy but very much in need of an upgrade, as are some of the cabins. The amenities have peeling paint, dripping taps and leaking cisterns and don't appear to have been updated since the '80s.

My wife and I visited Hervey Bay for 3 nights in early February, choosing a standard cabin. The entrance is easy to miss , but the park is very central to Hervey Bay , having the feel of a country town setting. The cabins are neat and well equipped. To get to the Esplanade is a simple 5 min drive . Not over priced for their position in town.

Third time staying at the Tasman, twice in a caravan and this time in a cabin. Everything was clean, the resort itself nicely maintained. The staff very friendly and helpful. The kitchen could have been better equipped... a couple of bowls for fruit salad and a green salad for instance. The old frying pan was replaced which was nice. A few coat hangers would have been useful. A bit far to walk to the beach and probably best to use the car for the supermarket. However, our time spent at the park was completely spoiled by the dog in the caravan next to us who barked non stop at everyone that walked by. Still barking at 9pm. We spoke to the owner of the dog on arrival who said " nothing I can do if he barks at people walking by". This is not good enough as we all pay to have a peaceful holiday. In future we will look for caravan parks that don't have dogs or at least some rules about keeping dogs quiet.

Are water taps adjacent to powered sites? Are powered sites 10amp or 15 amp sockets?

Yes there are town water supply taps at caravan sites. I think most caravan parks are 15amp outlets. Discovery Parks at Hervey Bay certainly was.
