Had booked this hotel post seeing the reviews. But not upto the mark. Food and breakfast buffet are minimal. No towels provided while checking in. Had to ask for it twice. Stains on bedsheet and cushion covers. Lights keep going and there is complete black out of 1-2 minutes as there is shift to generators (no emergency lights anywhere in the property). Language barrier creates confusion. Try some better business hotels in vicinity instead of this. I guess this is my first ever 1 star review on TripAdvisor but can't help it
Excellent property. Serene, Staff is ever helpful without being intrusive. Riverside property with its own Rambutan orchard, swimming pool. Serene property. Excellent staff. It was a business trip. Perfect place to unwind after a busy day
A quiet scenic spot less than an hour away from the mad, congested rush that Cochin has become. We had been there earlier for a half day trip and our resolve to return for a stay finally fructified. Set in a ocean of trees (Nutmeg, Mango Steen, Mango, Star fruit and so on), it is cheek to jowl with the Periyar river which is quite enchanting (when not in spate). The property is not very large but just adequate. There are three buildings housing the rooms and the restaurant. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. There is an old looking building which houses the Ayurveda centre but this and the swimming pool had to be skipped for another visit. It is a place to do nothing and to do something. One can just sit down and watch the river flow by. You could watch birds in the morning. Take walks among the trees and plants. Fish in the Periyar. Take a motor boat ride. Have an Ayurvedic Massage. Gorge yourself on delicious food or just lie back on a deck chair and be ensconced I tranquility. The food is excellent and sumptuous. Chef Victor is very open to suggestion and guests can select their menus. We are grateful to Mr. Biju the manager and Dhanya who handles reception for the warmth and care. We will certainly be back. . …
This resort is set up in a nutmeg garden on the banks of Periyar in Thuruth, Alwaye. The room was spacious and the decor was tastefully done. The room service personnel seemed to be those employed in the nutmeg garden. The complementary breakfast was good in terms of variety and taste. We were shocked to see that the (Everyday brand) milk powder sachets placed in the room were past the expiry date. To sum up, the price seemed to be exorbitant in comparison with the facilities in offer and similar competitors.
The hotel is located in a quaint location and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff is courteous and food is pretty good. The rates are also very reasonable. The hotel in just 15 mins drive from airport and it provides complimentary pickup and drop from airport on request. Overall its definitely worth staying.
