This place has always been a great place to dine, but we were disappointed with the customer service received by one young waiter in the Snack bar. His manner was abrupt, quite unpleasant and unprofessional. He was not prepared to assist with the ordering via the app. As we are in our late 70s, we were unfamiliar with the new method of ordering food and drinks. The other staff were lovely and offered to assist. We don’t wish to visit the snack bar again if this particular person is on duty.

So I’ve been hearing about this wonderful WestWaters hotel and entertainment complex in the West of Melbourne. Curiosity got the better of me so I decided to check it out.

The visit starts off well with free parking and a lovely warm welcome from the most endearing Ms Mirjana on reception. Check in was a breeze and the service as an Accor plus member was exceptional although I believe this level of professionalism extends to all guests without question. Ms Mirjana was a wealth of knowledge and we had a great although all too short chat about the history of the place and hotel.

That evening we enjoyed dinner in the bistro. Well looked after by Ms Jessica who was a pleasure to have look after us and was an absolute professional in high end hospitality and allowed us to pick our seats which was nice and my apologies in our delay in ordering forcing her to do laps around the bistro...🙂 dinner was great!steak was excellent and the jus fantastic check out my pics, good job kitchen people we love you!

As mentioned in a chat with Ms Chelsea in the cafe in the morning this place is really versatile. There’s so much to do. After dinner we decided to try our luck in the gaming lounge and had a little luck which tipped of to a beautiful dinner. Barista coffee by Ms Chelsea was awesome too.

Our room was impeccable:

“/ɪmˈpɛkəb(ə)l/ adjective
in accordance with the highest standards; faultless.”

Our room was stunning and the view over the lake and to the distant city was amazing. Strong aircon in lounge and was put on to cool room before we arrived which was bliss especially on a 36 degree day. The bed was huge and comfy and with extra pillows! Yes! I need an extra pillow. The balcony was awesome with a couple of comfy chairs and table where we enjoyed the sun setting while enjoying a crisp cold white. All the materials such as bed sheets and window furnishings and carpets throughout are high end. Please look after them they are expensive as other people deserve to enjoy them unmarked aswell.

After hundreds of hotel stays around the world this is one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever seen. So much so in the morning I had to seek out who these cleaning angles were? I was on a mission to thank these cleaning angles. YES! I found the lovely Ms Bojana & Ms Vesna who were busily preparing another room for some more lucky guests. I didn’t get to meet Ms Vesna as she was busy and ran off with a handful of sheets clearly on a cleaning mission, WestWaters style. A quick thank you to Ms Bojana and we were on our way to check out. Check out my pics of how clean these rooms are!

So to wrap up there’s still so much I missed out on I will have to return such as the pool area. This is a great spot on the lake and opposite a shopping complex, not far from the airport and a huge recommendation as a venue for corporate or wedding venue.
A great adventure and Mission accomplished!!! Well done GM Luke you have a good team and an awesome venue.

Mr Dean

I have mobility issues but can usually manage with grab rails in the bathroom rather than a completely accessible room. However, I use a shower chair at home. I discovered that our room had no grab rails and the floor in the shower was extremely slippery. I wanted to change to an accessible room but there isn't one at this property. Considering the size of the property I would have expected at least one, if not more accessible rooms. Simply not good enough. The food in the Bistro was expensive for what you got. Our dairy industry is in crisis yet they serve foreing butter. Breakfast eggs were not only the tiniest eggs you could find but were rubbery and served on a huge piece of sourdough. If you must use the cheapest eggs on the market at least serve them on a slice ciabatta rather than that huge piece of sourdough that you need a chain saw to cut.
Only two disabled car parking spaces in the car park and one was occupied for the whole week by a car that had no permit. Looked like it hadn't been moved all week. I watche done woman struggle to get in and out of her car in a normal space because she couldn't access the disabled car park due to this tiny car which would not have needed the extra space afforded by the disabled space. Staff didn't care.

Hi T1sWas, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your stay. I am sorry to hear that it did not meet your expectations. Our hotel does in fact have 5 accessible rooms available to assists those who may need them which includes shower rails to ensure the guest has a pleasurable stay. I can't speak for the time of your stay, but these rooms do sell out quite quickly. Also, our carpark does have more than two disable car parking spots also, however as you mentioned they are quickly taken. I am sorry to hear about the egg quality, we source our eggs locally, but we will pass this onto chef. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused during your stay and we will utilise your feedback to ensure we improve for future guests. Kind Regards, Melanie

I would say average, the room wasn’t clean very well there was Cobb webs on the light switches, the tv was tiny, access to power points was terrible.
The bathroom supplies were terrible most hotels I stay in have a body wash and hand wash these days it was a measly tiny bar of soap, the tiny body wash supplied was expired last year in June! So no one clearly checks this either. The toilet seat was broken.
The shower had NO pressure and was barely hot.
The beside tables were FULL of dust.
The tea bags supplied were revolting, no actual mugs just tiny tea cups. Most hotels have both. The carpark we couldn’t get into At night we had to go into the reception to get it opened as our keycard wouldn’t work so then I said what happens next time we have to use it, he said we have to go inside reception again to get it opened instead of actually being proactive and fixing the card issue so we didn’t have to do that!
Staff at front desk were lovely that’s the only positive.
No key hole on the back of the doors.
We went down for breakfast they didn’t even have eggs Benedict as a menu option who doesn’t have that these days?
Overall I wouldn’t stay again and I stay in ALOT of hotels and is extremely sub par.
Still waiting on our bond back $250 mind you. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at it’s in my account within 3 days it’s ridiculous

Superb high quality, hotel room, facilities and dining at the WestWaters Mercure hotel complex. It is a one stop shop for leisure or business travellers needing comfortable and quality accommodation in the area with a tonnes of optionality and shopping nearby.

Only approx 25 min from Melbourne airport or about 45 min from the cbd the hotel has so much to offer including gym, pool, spa and laundry facilities, live music on weekends, conference facilities, and all day cafe and snacks with the most exciting family friendly bistro dining at night from 5pm all with a magnificent lakeside vista.

Amazing, welcoming and professional staff the the most welcoming Mr Abram, the very nice Ms Tammy on reception to the Superchefs Mr Patrick, Michael and Ian in the kitchen, Isabelle, Joseph, Gayan and Amira on the floor looking after all the demanding guests with ease and professionalism.

Free parking, pokies on site and local shopping close by.

Thank you for everything team Mercure CS!

Visited this hotel for 5 days second week of April, the check in was a bit vague with the reception laying more attention to the guest trying to get money to play the pokies than the actual check in process. Hence I wasn’t really indicated where the room was or how to head up to the elevators or presented with any of the other facilities of the hotel, until I asked of course. No complaints as the receptionist was adequate to the standard of the Australian hospitality service. Room was quite on the second floor and spacious but bed wasn’t very comfortable. Also the showers lack water pressure but this is very subjective. The restaurants are okay and they offer a variety of meals nevertheless no buffet breakfast but there are plenty of choices around the area too thst you can Uber in. The reason it gets 4 stars for me it’s because of the location which is convenient for me and it has the facilities I require during business travel. Overall a nice hotel and the rooms were dressed every day which is also a plus on this lack of service environment we live in today. Oh it also has free parking and I didn’t find it too noisy as other people have complained about.

Staff were very helpful, it was quite clear that there were several new staff doing their best and learning on the job, great to see in the hospitality industry.
Ordering was a little confusing but we got there in the end. Unfortunately a mishap with the wrong beer being poured, the staff quickly corrected this. Arancini special was awesome. Pork cutlet main excellent. New steak knives maybe needed.
Room very well presented.
Would really like to see hand sanitiser available as you exit the toilets as all venues should.
A pity I have to mark this 4/5, better rated 93/100. Definitely will stay and dine again.😉

We stayed over the Christmas new year period. The hotel was clean friendly has a good range of food options along with local restaurants nearby. The pool and spa were always working and at good temperatures(spa hot ,pool cool). We had to move rooms due to a faulty AC unit which was handled very well with a few comp drinks thrown in to "ease" the move. The state experienced power failures which whilst not ideal the staff remained pleasant and professional in what must have a tough situation. We will be back.

Small TV. The balcony was locked. Shower dispensers were too far from the shower. The bar waitress did not know what Cointreau was. Had to check with the bar even though it was listed on the wine list. Very average for the price.
