What a difference! Last visit renovations had started and meals were then served at road level at the old reception area. Now the older rooms have been refurbished inside and painted outside in a cream coloured paint. Change from the old drab brown colour.
Meals are now served - breakfast, lunch and dinner - in the smart new restaurant, still in the same place as previously, but what an incredible transformation. Adjoining swimming pool area enlarged, with Italian tiles on both areas, but still the fabulous view over the lagoon. Will be even better when the top addition to the restaurant is completed.
About 6 extra hillside cabins, reminiscent of chalets, behind the pool are close to opening. Only drawback at the moment is the numerous wooden steps which need to be negotiated between the different levels, and insufficient parking for cars.
Restaurant meals very good, well priced and varied menu. Wait staff very friendly.
Definitely well worth a comfortable stay. Serious money has been spent to upgrade this resort.

Went with family to stay 5 nights at The Crows Nest. We were happy to see that the hotel is doing a lot of renovation and also adding more rooms which we understand should all be complete by May 2015.
The staff are very friendly. We will definitely be back.

We spent 3 days here in March 2013, A very relaxing place to stay, resort is currently being renovated, we stayed in one of the new rooms and it was well worth the money with a great view of the beach. The staff were very friendly always willing to help, the resort also offers very good laundry service which is cheap and affordable, next day service for a two big bags all ironed, dried and folded ...top class service. Great WIFI access, free code from reception. Walking distance to Koko bar down the road, great pool with great views of the reef, all soon to be renovated. Only draw back is the beach could be cleaned in the mornings, litter and empty can strewn across the beach, also locals tend to ride their horses down the beach so beware of horse crap on the beach, apart from that the resort is well worth the money, once the renovations have been done it will be an even better place to stay

DO NOT STAY HERE! service was terrible food was terrible. I spoke with a couple staff and even they said they wouldn't recommend staying here the owners are very cheap stairs are dangerous wifi absolutely sucks food took over an hour to be cooked the amenities in the rooms are very old outdated and mostly broken and barely work the spa only had a night shift worker so no day time massage I asked why and was told the owners do not want to hire another staff member for the day shift. It's clear the owners don't care about their customers stay elsewhere fiji hideaway is 15 mins down the road much better please will never stay at crows nest again

A very nice little resort on Fiji's Coral Coast. I stayed in one of the 3-bed villages (1 queen-sized and 2 small ones). The location is hidden in a quieter part of the Coral Coast tourist belt, but you can easily access shops, restaurants, and other hotels either by walking, bus ride, or taxi. It also has a nice little beach. Staff are very helpful and because it is a small resort you get a friendlier service than most of the bigger resorts. A public bus service runs past the resort every 30 minutes and you can hop in to get to Sigatoka Town which is a 5-10 minute drive away.

Terrible place to stay. Might have been good in the 80ies or so when it has been built, but now the place is decadent and desolated. Virtually everything in the room was broken or missing: we even had a camping light in the bathroom to “make up” for the broken lights there. The dinner was surprisingly good (the food). Breakfast was a joke with literally noone asking us if we wanted to order or have a coffee despite having 6-8 members of the staff right there having the own breakfast and walking around… really: location is good but place needs serious renovation and change in management

Over a 23 year period I’ve eaten at the Crows Nest restaurant. The service was generally good but it always took a lengthy time for the food to come out of the kitchen even if you were the only table being served. Understanding that there was a new chef and new menu we took our family visiting from the USA to dinner. The service was good and the food came from the kitchen in an acceptable time. Then everything fell apart. One order of Chicken and Fettuccine was an insult to both the chicken and the fettuccine. Inedible! One order of mystery fish was inedible. Another order was Chicken Parmigiana. Why it was called parmigiana is again another mystery. The taste was awful! Also, It’s the first time that we’ve ever had broken glass mixed in with the food! These three main courses were returned to the kitchen. The fourth dish that was ordered, prawns with rice was okay and edible and was paid for. The owner of the Crows Nest Resort, Mr Hamid Ali, also owner of the Amalfi Restaurant in Port Denerau, and also owner of Caskade Catering in London which owns numerous KFC franchises had a menu that leaned toward pasta dishes and the pasta’s were imported from Italy. The menu and food at that time was good though inconsistent. Sadly, hotel management changes frequently as does the chef and kitchen and service staff, again leading to inconsistent service, quality and presentation. Hopefully, things will improve but I’m not holding my breath.

Checked in with Family on Dec23. Overall experience wouldn't recommend to anyone.
1. The "included" breakfast was bad, had to pay to get a good meal.
2.Lady Duty manager very rude. No people skill.
3. No wifi in room.
4.No internet reception.
5. Lovely staff though, poor management.

One of the best curries that I’ve tasted. Great views and nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wine list was interesting and nicely priced. A great find in this part of Fiji where generally food is pretty average. Highly recommended
