We have visited Wings Wildlife Park numerous times, both as a couple and as a family. The park itself is immaculate and there is a large variety of animals. I love the behind the scenes experiences on offer having done the marmosets and meerkats I can highly recommend. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and great with kids. I am hoping to take my grandchildren next year and experience the junior keeper for a day. On top of all of this they also have a great cafe on sight serving delicious food and great coffee

What a gem! We are self contained so it was down by the river on the flats for us....plenty of space to set up, spectacular scenery, water gently running by, a place for campfires with wood easily purchased and delivered if required, wildlife around, and toilets and showers not too far away if needed. Oh and a wonderful cafe that caters for gluten free....just heaven. It may have been a little cold in the middle of winter,(like white!), but with a diesel heater and a firepot who cares. Tassie at its best.

Living in Tasmania, I've been to Wings Wildlife Park a few times but it gets better each time we go. My son, daughter-in-law and I went on Good Friday (one of the few places to be open that day) and had a wonderful day. Since my last visit there were a few new inclusions - meerkats and marmosets - both of which are adorable. The monkeys are always a great source of entertainment (I could watch them all day) and there are great 'hands on' opportunities (to pat a baby wombat, koala and Tassie Devil) as well as feeding the grass-fed animals and fish. The farm animal 'walk' is just as entertaining as the native animals and the surrounding scenery is stunning. After walking around the park for several hours (and watching the 'feedings') we had a barbecue beside the river. We were blessed with perfect weather which just added to the whole experience. At $20 it's well worth it as you could easily spend a whole day there and there is something for every age group. Highly recommend this place.

Really disappointed. No tea, coffee or milk available in superior Queen room. Heater (panel on ceiling) was on a timer so had to push a button on the wall every 30 minutes to turn back on, which was difficult when in bed on a really cold night. Shared kitchen was overrun with young backpackers (delightful people- one young lad gave me one of his tea bags 😁) but they had all their bags of food piled up on the floor and dishes all over the benches. Glass door with no blind ensured you didn’t sleep in😞 Certainly not for everyone and definitely not for us.

A great holiday destination. Stayed in the non powered camping area. Right on the river which you can swim in. Can buy firewood from park for campfire if wanted. Wildlife park has a mixture of animals. Can feed the kangaroos and fish. Also has powered sites and cabins. Well worth a visit. No phone service as in a gully.

11/20: Tour guide was Allison. Bus driver was Andria. Only female duo. Good & not so good. Long but scenic ride to Wing's family farm. Enjoyed seeing Tasmanian devils for the first time. Had interesting & varied birds and animals. Yet many stalls @were empty. Kangaroos were very tame and allowed getting close to take photos next to them. In the harbor we saw massive mounds of wood chips a stockpiles of logs ready for shipment to various parts of Asia where they will be used to make paper and furniture.

Thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed your day at Wings Wildlife Park. Some of our animals are nocturnal and may only come out in the morning or afternoon or if they have just been feed it may have been their sleep time. But something is always happening there, so you may need to pop back to an enclosure after a short period of time.

We were so glad we went here, you are so close to the animals we loved it. You can hand feed some of the animals and that was such a great experience for both kids and adults. Such a wide variety of animals, perfect for the family. Although the Tassie Devil experience was expensive for what it was, I do not have any problems with paying the $40 per head as the $ are going to help this privately run park. No complaints and in reading some other reviews which were critical, I believe that the complaints of these people were so minor that I would advise you just ignore them. The staff were are fantastic, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this.

Enjoyed a scenic trip through from Ulverstone. Weather was fine - good variety of animals etc.. Restaurant was good but would advise families to pack a picnic as there was little on offer at affordable prices for a family. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food for the animals when purchasing a little handmade bag could be refilled for $1.00.

Thank you for your review. Our café has expanded over the last 12-18 months and offering many 'paddock to plate' menu options. We also offer homemade pies, toasted sandwiches (starting at $6 for 3 fillings), Chips & gravy $7, homemade pizza's $8, dim sims $1.40, chicken medallions $1.40.... and then moves up the scale into larger meals ranging from $13.00 to $25.00 (Similar to counter/pub meals... but better). We do allow people to bring their own picnic lunches too. We are very lucky to have the largest collection of Tasmania in Australia, and very proud of this. I'm glad you enjoyed your time visiting and thanks again for your review, greatly appreciated.

Great sight of Tasmanian Devils feeding and knowledge of their breeding. However for other animals you need to guess what they are as the signage is poor/ nonexistant. Some signs faded but many not even there. I would like to see a sign of what I am seeing in an enclosure and information about them. I was embarrassed to show this to my mainland visitors. It was very unprofessional.

We was in the process of replacing all our old animal signage and then the staff member doing so became unwell. The process has now been delayed unfortunately. They take sometime to research the info required (I.e diet, breeding, map of where they come from etc) especially when our office staff aren't out working with the animals. We are now nearly ready to go to the printers, so hopefully we can have them up on display soon. Apologies if you felt embarrassed in front of your visitors but some things are out of our control and we have been working on getting them completed.

We were on a cruise and this was one of the day trips planned while in Tasmania. We loved it! The facilities were clean and the animals all looked well cared for. We got into the pen with the kangaroos and had fun feeding them. We even saw a mother with her "joey" in her pouch. The Tasmania devils were fun to watch chasing each other about, we got to pet a baby one. We also saw koalas. For lunch we enjoyed a nice sausage roll and tea in the restaurant. Fellow cruise passengers shopped for souvenirs in the gift store. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Hi Campfires are allowed. A local boy sells firewood if you require it, some bring their own or just grab what wood is lying about the bush line. A common kitchen area has been built but that is attached to our accommodation units. We also have bbqs to hire for single use, but could work out a rate for multiple use/overnight etc.
