Second time this year in this hotel. Very good place to stay except on friday and saturday nights when groups of poorly educated people don't behave the way thai people do. We know a lot of hotel owners and they all advised us not to stay at their places on weekend days.

The hotel is located on the Maeklong river in the charming Ampawa district and it has both garden rooms (bungalows) in a very tropical setting and also some rooms with river view. Go for the river view rooms as they offer you the most fantastic view at a small extra cost.

The hotel is probably more aimed at conferences and large celebrations than at individual tourists but the location makes up for this feeling.

Rooms are very clean and in order and the basic amenitites like soap, shampoo and drinking water are available. The breakfast is okay but everything from fried eggs to noodles were cold when we were there. The breakfast room is nothing special but you can take your breakfast to the restaurant by the river.

The restaurant has a very large menu and the food we had was tasty and fresh.

You can rent a bicycle at the hotel and the roads in the Ampawa area are pretty safe to drive - at least compared to other places in Thailand. In the morning at 6.00 to 6.30, the monks from the nearby temple come by boat to get food at the hotel pier. You can buy a tray of food from the hotel and offer food yourself - around 100 baht. A very peaceful and nice moment in a hectic world which can be seen from the balcony of the river rooms.

We really recommend this hotel for the fantastic location, clean rooms and very nice staff.

We are budget travellers with 2 kids (3&5) in tow. On this trip we also had 3 adults and booked 2 bungalows. There was a bit of a snafu and only one room was ready when we arrived at 5 PM, but it was quickly remedied. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel as it met 3 of my 4 requirements with plenty of extras.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the room was quiet (despite a loud concert up the street). However, it was not dark at night due to the driveway lights. There were regular curtains on the windows so the light shone through and around the curtains. Next time, we would bring our blackout panels if travelling with the boys or eye masks if travelling solo.

The grounds are peaceful. There was a lot for the kids to do and see from the gardens, feeding fish, swings, and pool to watching boats on the river. The property is riverfront and the dock provides a panoramic sunset.

The included breakfast was substantial providing a few western options (eggs, toast, sausage, cereal) with plenty of local choices. Probably the best hotel breakfast we have had at a hotel in this price range in Thailand.

It is less than 5 minutes to Amphawa Floating Market and the evening firefly boat tours. About 15 minutes to both Tha Kha floating market and Wat Bang Kung, although the market and temple are in opposite directions. Dameon Sudak floating market and Mekong Railway Market are also nearby, making this a peaceful spot from which to explore the markets.

We took Thai Message, it is very good although a little bit hurt :)
The room is very nice, clean and comfort, we booked for 4 rooms.
The standard room didn't have double room, all of 4 is twin room.
Breakfast is ok, the staff is very nice.

Hope to back there again.

If you love gardens, you have to see it. Baantip Suantong is situated right by the huge river.
Unfortunately everything is a little bit worn and (old-)fashioned. Our bungalow's furniture was simple and old/ugly and the veneer came crumbling off. There were water stains on the ceiling, the air-con didn't work properly and there were huge ants on the floor. Altogether not nice.
The breakfast room was not well aired, breakfast itself was very simple and just below average. Not a lot for vegetarians.

We stayed in a river view room and the view of the river was fantastic. This resort is a 3-star hotel so don't expect the luxurious things but it has all the things you need...Hot water, fridge, TV, air con. The wifi was pretty fast and stable as I could join my online conference from here.

In the morning around 6 AM, you can go to the pier and see the monks in small boats. You can make a merit by offering them food. (The resort also prepare the food set for you at 100 Baht per set).

The best part was the food. I really liked the food at the restaurant inside this resort. They offered Thai, Chinese and a few international dishes in a good price.

So if you are planning to visit Amphawa floating market or around this area, this is a another good option to spend 1-2 nights. Just 10 mins drive from the market.

Btw, forget to mention that they have the spa service too so you can have Thai massage here but the price is a little higher comparing to Thai massage at Amphawa market.

I loved this place! The room was simple but clean, comfy and rather homey. The staff is nice and very helpful. Plus, they don't hover, which is great. The view from the room we stayed in was to die for and the food is absolutely delicious. Coming to this resort is definitely a must!

Great place. Very nice rooms. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Huge breakfast. Great location by the river. A vehicle is necessary because the places of interest are scattered round. Very nice staff.

My wife and I stayed here for only 3 nights - wish it had been more. The resort is set overlooking the river and every morning is visited on a canoe by Buddhist Monks, where there is a riverside ritual and they are presented with food a very spiritual moment we felt. If you can stretch the extra few Baht then ask for a room with a river view - a must have.
The rooms and for are very much aimed at the Thai market not quiet the finesse europeans might expect but we felt it wa very much in keeping with he vibe there. The restaurant serves exquisite food at very reasonable rates- take car though the bar shuts at 21:00. That said this is not a venue to go to for drinking but for quiet rest. They offer an excellent stained glass window 3 day course with expert tuition - which is well worth undertaking when you are there.
There is also the local river market and firefly trip as well as the unbelievable Maeklong railway market an absolute must.
'M' is a very good host but aside from him be aware most staff do not speak English. We found this more exciting but worth being aware of. Can't wait to return later this year.

Staff do not speak in English.

We’ve booked a room for thee and they offer us to dress a bed on the floor.

Breakfast is just the worst we had in all our trip.

Leader never show up when we asked to see him.

Will never come back in this place.
