Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for our skiing wedding/honeymoon and we needed a quiet little Bed & Breakfast, far away from the wedding crowd. This is exactly what La Ferme d'en Bas has to offer.

It is a stunning building that the owner has converted with his own two hands and I must admit that he has done an amazing job too. Every room was done by hand and the attention to detail is brilliant.

I suppose that location might be a problem to some and I would not recommend this place to people who were to travel without a car. There is a skibus and I did attempt the trek back from the local Irish pub but it's not great. Nevertheless, we wanted peace and quiet and this is what we got. The owners and their kids (and their cat) pretty much leave you alone. You can have a chat but if you don't feel like it, you don't have to.

I have marked the B&B down for cleanliness and the only reason is that they do not clean the bedding. I am thinking that if we'd asked, they probably would have but I just assume B&Bs to do this sort of thing without being asked. I wanted to check, therefore, how many days it would take them to change the sheets if not asked. The answer, I am afraid, is longer than one week.

It is an old renovated farm, the room is very spacious, clean and charming, all made of wood and with many details. The bathroom and shower were very good too. Food and drink are not allowed in the rooms but it was not a problem for us. They don't make your room daily but for 2-3 days it wasn't a problem either. The common areas of the house are also very beautiful and well-kept. The breakfast is correct, it is not very varied but the products they put are local and were delicious. The owners are friendly but, at least in English, not very talkative. Pets are not allowed but their cat is roaming throughout the house, including the breakfast area, which does not seem completely hygienic to me. The location is great, very quiet, although you have to take the car to go to town or take a good walk.
